@Doekse can you help @Monique_Jilesen and @Max_Westerveld for transfer the app? Thanks in advanced! ![]()
I think @Monique_Jilesen already covered it all! @Max_Westerveld would just need to provide his account ID, no need for me to intervene here ![]()
Iāve sent an e-mail with the requested details to @Monique_Jilesen. So I guess it is just a matter of time.
@J33bee thanks for creating the report. I guess I need ownership of the app toe read it. That makes trying to solve your issue also a matter of timeā¦
Any traction on the handover?
Currently Iām running 4.2.3. What Iām currently experiencing is that an ON command in Homey works fine and is also shown as ON status in the Toshiba app. An OFF command does not turn off an AC, although the Toshiba app shows the AC as off. Then switching the AC ON and OFF in the Toshiba app leads to the self-cleaning mode of the AC.
What command do I need to add in Homey, before or after the OFF command, which solves the status polling issue?
We all experience this issue. They are working on a fix.
I found an issue that might cause this behaviour. But as I do not have this issue myselves, Iām not sure this is the fix. Can someone who is experiencing this issue try the test-relase 4.2.4 Toshiba | Homey and confirm whether it is fixed or not?
Thanks in advance.
Just now I manually turned of one of my Kazumiās with the Homey 4.2.4 app. This worked! Dry function is triggered and after that the AC will shutdown itself. Created a log; 570b5e93-52f5-4f71-929d-efbeee8d614f
Will also test this with another AC unit (also Kazumi) icm a flow and update you overhere.
New test with flow to turn off. This fails. Airco gets OFF signal, flap starts closing, but immediately opens again, AC keeps on. Toshiba app + Toshiba Homey app both think itās OFF but itās still on;
Log report for this one; 043846d0-c1e5-4fa7-bca9-30f9351a373d
Tested a direct OFF command against my own AC ā works reliably every time, no reversion.
One thing I want to rule out though: @J33bee, looking at your two diagnostic reports, the successful manual OFF and the failed Flow OFF were actually sent to two different AC units, not the same one. Could you test both methods (manual button, then Flow) on the exact same single unit, back to back, and send a diagnostic report for each? Thatāll tell us whether this is really about manual-vs-Flow control, or specific to that particular unit/model.
Oh, by the way. Feel free to write the user-message in dutch again as you did in the previous reports. Itās my native language too ![]()
Will do ASAP. And indeed my flow is configured for the bedroom AC. The other one is in my homeoffice. Both use wifi adapter firmware 5.0.00 from Toshiba.
Manual OFF just after switching it ON worked (this does not yet trigger the dry function AFAIK), but flow didnāt work after 15 min (same AC unit). Log report; df559e48-ef54-4996-af37-683772ef8d94
Will run another 15 min, do a manual OFF and send you that log report as well.
And after 15 min the manual OFF works as expected. Dry function is enabled and after that it will be completely OFF. Log report; 0780cef8-ccfd-430d-a233-797e8bf1cc21
Thanks for the reports. What i can see is the commands the app sends over to the AC are identical to the working ones on my own homey Toshiba setup. What might be different is that my ACās are kazumi+ so their WiFi is build in where Kazumi contains a Wifi Module.
Second opservation is your Homey version (13.2.4) differs from mine (13.4.0).
13.3+ is based on a new Debian version. Itās not unlikely this causes different behaviour.
Do you mind to upgrade to the new Homey version?
Alternative would be to compare homey communication to native Toshiba-app communication with the Toshiba API. That would take som network sniffing.
A bit more complex job, but thatās how I got the Homey toshiba app back to live in the first placeā¦
I canāt update (Homey Pro 2019), should run the latest version (stating after check on update). Just now I thought I test my third Kazumi (leefkeuken) with a normal OFF command, but this also went wrong. Flap closing and then opening again, apps both think the AC is turned OFF but still ON.
Log report of that one; 05e048fe-2ffd-4416-8f3c-30605a64cce2
Just saw that Toshiba has an update for iOS. What I still donāt get, the flows and also manually turning the ACs off, was never an issue. Since the API change, this doesnāt work anymore.
It looks like Toshiba is working on apiās and apps. This project is based on reverse engineering so no guarantee everything remains working and we defenately wonāt be notified when they change stuff.
Currently Iām trying to create a rooted android emulation on my pc to sniff deeply into the networktraphic between app and api⦠This is taking place deeply in AMQS and Azure IoT⦠Is encryption is to heavy I might even not get there at all..
This will take quite some time. Also there is some holiday involved.
Please interpret this as expectations management ![]()
Oh, by the way. The issue with unstoppable acās as far as I know only exists in older Homeys like the 2019. Please correct me if Iām wrong. Anyone that experienced these issues who installed one of the release candidates?
Dit it help?
I donāt think so as these candidates do not seam to include the Debian update that came to newer Homeys. So just a longshotā¦
Iām having similar issues like @J33bee. I have 8 Kazumiās and Homey pro 2023. I wil do some more testing this weekend.
Thanks for sharing. That rules out the Homey hardware IMHO.
Hi, Maybe this sounds a bit strange, but I have 2 Kamizu units (firmware 5.0), a Homey Pro 2023, and Iām still running the Homey app 4.1.0 without any issues.
Iām a little āafraidā to update now that everything is still working and thereās no way to roll back. Iāve invested a lot of time and effort into my flows.
There is no new functionality in the app appart from the fix of non functioning stuff.
Iād say wait till it breaks (if even) and update then.
Donāt fix what aināt broken!
Tried to start two ACās (keuken + woonkamer) via advanced flow
Homey status: AC=ON
Toshiba Home AC status: AC=OFF
AC = OFF (did not start)
Tried a 2nd time via the same advanced flow: no changes in any status, no AC start.
Restarted the Homey Toshiba app an tried again: all statuses are ON and AC goes ON (like you would expect)
When I try to stop the ACās via advanced flow the ACās seem to shut down shortly (lid moves to close but quickly opens again) and the ACās keep running.
When do this again a 2nd time via the same flow, the AC shuts down (without cleaning 30min. nadraaien na koelen).

What is also see is that the status (on/off) in Homey is not updated with constant interval times. Sometimes instant, sometimes a delay.
Maybe an synchro issue between Homey and the Toshiba cloud?
