I told them my Homey was SUPER SLOW and that Advanced Flows takes like 2 minutes to connect cards for no reason… no matter how big or small the Advanced Flow is. I sent Athom a diagnostics report for them to check what was going on. and then they told me this app was causing problems.
(My Homey mobile all loaded instantly without this app, but took up to 20 seconds sometimes to load. If not then it says my Homey is offline and i have to unplug the Homey Pro and plug it back in.)
What I don’t understand is that, if this app is causing this behavior, then I would expect that other users of the app (including myself) would experience the same issue.
I personally don’t run into this issue. So maybe other factors are at play (outside of this app), or a specific type of Sonos speaker model is causing this.
You have 7 Sonos devices in the app, and I have 2 (one is surround system with 4 devices, but seen as 1 device by the Sonos Local API app).
Maybe that influences the performance 3.5 times more.
I have 8 Sonos devices in the app so that shouldn’t be an issue. Are you using Homey Flows that poll the speakers very often? Or anything you can think of that could be an issue? Do you remember on which version the issue started and is it still there?
Hmm no, i don’t know. Athom also found something that points towards a device i have in “Device Capabilities”. I’ll look into that first. As that might be the biggest problem. Does a diagnostics report help you see if there’s any issues for me with your app or does diagnostics not include that kind of information?
Hmm, no only Sonos LocalAPI app. I don’t know if this is a app problem or my app only. Might remove the app and install again and set up my flows again to see what happens.
What do the insight graphs say about Homey (internal memory, storage memory)?

Hmm. Could try that! Only thing i really use the Cloud app for is TTS, but at the same time i have my HomeyScript google translate TTS script i use with the Sonos LocalAPI app. I will try and see what happens.
This is my issue. Advanced flows just lagging, Athom found something else in the “Device Capabilities” app too so i’m gonna try find something there too. We’ll see when Athom responds if they still find any problems with the Sonos LocalAPI app or if it’s only “Device Capabilites” left.
Using the app for a while and it works great. i have just started using Dashboard Studio app and I have Sonos integrated nicely but 2 things I wonder if can be achieved.
Artist & Track, when speakers are not playing anything, it always displays last played. Would love if it just shows nothing or it says not playing
Album Artwork would be great as an option. At the moment I can see no option of pulling that from the app
There is a post on the Dashboard Studio forum in which a Homey script is used to retrieve Sonos album art. Even better would be a Advanced flow card with the Artwork URL of the song playing.
I wonder why the ID of an image, such as Sonos Artwork, needs to change after every Homey restart.
