Hi Robin,
What are your thoughs about events that happen every other week? E.g heatpomp legionella run every other week at 13:00. results now in one week estimate too low and the other week too high. Maybe a flowcard to tweak the estimates?
Thx for the feedback Leo. I will give it some thought.
@Gruijter are there any thoughts already about adding the same cards for export price as the ones which are already available for the normal price (like example below):
Usecase: this way you are able to start charging the vehicle at the lowest purchase price (already available) or at the lowest export price (whenever this is lower than the lowest purchase price). The latter can be the case after ‘saldering’ is no longer possible.
yes, will be implemented in the next release
Secondly I will work on an experimental estimator on ‘socket’ level. So if you for instance have your big power users like dishwasher, washer, dryer on a separate socket meter (like I have), and have those added to PbtH as a power summarizer device, the summarizer will automatically detect the typical power use and duration when it is used.
This will allow very easy planning to start the dishwasher/dryer/etc at the cheapest time (it will be a single flow card to trigger that). Secondly it will help the forecaster to predict power usage for the coming hours when it detects a programm has started.
What a super app!
May I ask if it’s possible to let us set Y to what we want
in the card “The Average Price X hours becomes lowest Y hours”
as we can for X?
8H or rest of the day becomes a restriction as
Rest of the day (before 23:59) means we have to start before 20:00 and 8H might mean we miss the
low point during the coming 24 hrs.
If you get what I’m trying to explain.. ![]()
I now have the latest version 8.21.1 and suddenly there are much more grid cards visible, among with the Sessy P1-meter. So my problem does no longer exists.
Hi Robin,
FYI,
Test version: 8.21.1 stopped updating the solar forcast this morning. Last training date was 11 Oct. Hertrain generated an error something like ‘Retrain not possible’. Flowcard Zonnevoorspelling voor Deze dag was not triggered anymore. After restart of the app everything is working fine again.
I will inform you when it happens again.
yes. 15 minute blocks for 15 minute pricing, 60 minute blocks for 1 hour pricing
I still have an issue with the negative values… A screenshot of the settings, including day/month/year start and current value, which calculates to much different values than the summarizer itself does. Something goes wrong in the calculation, at one time you @Gruijter indicated that you found the issue (I think) but I see still wrong values for current year, current month but also the total of last month.
Previous day is correct. This month should be -181, prev month -389.
How do you know?
But the ‘start’ values in the settings combined wit current value also show that things go wrong…
why is your solar production reported as negative value? According to Homey standards a solar device should report a positive value when producing power and energy.
And in PbtH are you using a ‘normal’ power summarizer or do you use the special solar driver?
Edit: my AI did find something, and it has to do with your source device reporting production as negative values. I have implemented a fix for you, but that will probably not be published soon because I am working on a major app upgrade release.
The best thing for you is to ask the developer of your solar panel app to update that app to comply to Homey Energy standards. Then you can start using the special solar driver in PbtH which gives you much better functionality, including a solar forecaster!
I have the panels running through a HomeWizard kwh connected to Homey and I followed the instructions for that, at that time.
For many years it worked fine with this config also with PBTH and suddenly it fails…
Changing my config will also break my history and all flows connected to it. As said, it worked fine for may years.
Well, you can wait for the fix in PbtH. Or do a one-time re-setup so you are ready for the Homey Energy future…
Thanks for the advice. Homey Energy works perfectly fine with the solar measurement though.
Ok, then it should be no problem to add your solar panels to the new solar driver in PbtH.
Nobody?
