Since I have a home battery with a new inverter. The inverter measures solar panels, use of net power and battery power. How do I use PbtH now? Somehow I cannot export the measured power of solar panels and net to a calculator (for total day use and euro’s).
Here is a screenshot of my inverter app (AlphaESS). I hope someone can help me out.
By the way I have a P1 meter, but I only use this for gas, because AlphaESS keeps everything synchronized.
I am trying to understand the logic behind the flowcard “The price is one of X lowest of today” when running with 15-minute price periods. I’m experiencing some unexpected behavior and I’m not sure if I have misunderstood the card.
In my Advanced Flow, I trigger the flow every 15 minutes when a new price period starts. In the AND section, I use the card with X=2.
My interpretation is that this card should only return true during the 2 absolute cheapest 15-minute periods of the day (a total of 30 minutes). However, tonight the card remained true continuously from 01:45 to 06:00, even though the price varied during that time.
Here is the exact price data from that period:
01:45:03 – 0.39556521 (Lowest)
02:00:08 – 0.40882248
02:15:03 – 0.42321285
02:30:04 – 0.40791600 (Second lowest)
02:45:05 – 0.41573439
03:00:08 – 0.42207975
03:15:07 – 0.41924700
03:30:01 – 0.41539446
03:45:06 – 0.41516784
04:00:03 – 0.41222178
04:15:07 – 0.41392143
04:30:01 – 0.41596101
04:45:03 – 0.42173982
05:00:03 – 0.43862301
05:15:01 – 0.45482634
05:30:01 – 0.49765752
05:45:05 – 0.53346348
Mathematically, only 01:45 and 02:30 should be true. Why did the card evaluate as true for all the other periods in between?
Does the card internally look at full hour blocks instead of 15-minute intervals when sorting the lowest prices, or could it be a float/rounding limitation when the prices are very close to each other?
How should I interpret this card’s behavior? Any insights would be highly appreciated!
@Krisstenswe I cannot reproduce your issue, nor can I find a bug in the code. Can you show a screenshot of the actual flow you are using, including tags you use? And what app version do you use?
I tripple checked the app code, but all seems good there. So I do suspect something is wrong in your advanced flow itself. Try making a very simple flow just to log the 2 lowest prices of the day. If that flow also fails please come back with more supporting data.
Ow, and do update PbtH. It has some app crash fixes.
Prepare EV charger driver with self-learning schedule, 15m planning, solar charging and SMART charge modes
Selectable capabilities when (re)pairing
Fix grid totals reset and peak jump after restart or repair
Fix grid, solar and battery history after restart
Again some fixes and behind-the-scene development of an advanced car charge driver.
Most important change for now is that during pair or re-pair you will see a choice of source capabilities to use, select the price source, and set some of the most important settings.
This enables to add many more power, battery and grid meter sources from apps that were not supported by PbtH before!
