[APP][Pro] Power by the Hour: Insights per hour, day, month and year

Hi, to determine the lowest dayprices I use the the “the price is one of the X lowest of today” chart. X is maximized to 6.

Even though I installed the 15-minute pricing device, it seems the card still uses hourly rates. Is this correct, or am I doing something wrong?

@Geert1992 Many Thx for your kind donation. Much appreciated!

How should ROI work on HP2019. I don’t have a battery yet. But thinking of Zendure. So I wanted to try already with this flow now it should work on a P2019 at last. I made a Virtual Device and a “Thuisbatterij Monitor” but I get an Error.

PBTH v8.4.1

No electricity prices for tomorrow (19-2) received (this time only missing in PBTH app, prices tomorrow are visible in Homey energy tab).

What capabilities does your virtual battery device have?
I’m also connected to a virtual device and haven’t had any issues.
Mine:

measure_battery Accuniveau
meter_power Energie
measure_power Vermogen

Today’s prices was there in the morning, but now they are gone.
Both 15min and 1h DAPs.

Finnish market prices on PbtH app v8.4.1

I noticed that finland today prices does show but they are completely wrong. Something strange is going on there.

I didn’t have energie (meter_power).

I did have measure_battery/Accuniveau and measure_power/Vermogen

Also Temperature

Makes no difference. Same error: token ‘power ‘‘undefined’.

I will investigate tomorrow (enough screentime for today  )

@Geert1992 You have a newer HomeyPro 2023.

I have the old one (still going strong).

@Gruijter I think it’s a code-error in the part for the old-ones.

I dont have a homey 2023;).

Edit: I made a small adjustment, Nordpool is now the first input :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Everything is up and running. Since most people use Nordpool in Home Assistant, I’m hoping this setup turns out to be more stable.

We need to bring him more :tumbler_glass: :shark:

Is there something wrong with the prices this evening (NL prices)? They are the same the coming 7 hours:

Because of this my EV started charging although it was not during the cheapest prices until tomorrow 07:00h

Hi
I have problem get the prices fore som days now, im in SE_4 zone

image

And i use the same flowcard for tomorrow.
As i write this all i get for tomorrow is [] , if i look in the energy-companys ap the price for tomorrow has already arrived.
I dont know if its just my homey that doesnt get the updated price, but if it is it would be nice with a flowcard that updates the prices

/Rikard

I’ve updated the app so the hourly prices now come from the Nordpool API. I already had the prices at 13:01.

Would it be possible to choose your own preference? Which api first?

Fyi tomorrow FI prices is missing.

yes, working on price issues already all day  Can take another day to come up with fixes.

FYI:

  • Today I got prices for tomorrow around 13 hrs (quite early? Correct? Maybe this can be explained by ‘forecast prices’ switched on (I have switched off now, as it feels this feature is causing several problems recently)?)
  • Updating device (electricity) graph turned correct prices in a flat whole current day tariff. Prices tomorrow seems to be displayed correctly.

Before updating:

After updating:

New test version 8.5.0 available: https://homey.app/a/com.gruijter.powerhour/test

  • Many DAP Price fetching fixes and optimizations.
  • Added re-pair for BAT.
  • Reduce memory and CPU usage on BAT solver.
  • Prepare for Solar Yield prediction.

Besides many stability and memory/cpu tweaks, this release focuses mostly on improving Price fetching. Nordpool is now the preferred price supplier when you are living in a market that is traded on Nordpool itself (Nordic/Baltic countries). Price forecasting has been improved to use 15 minute prices when available. Many price/provider exceptions have been found, investigated, and mitigated. Quite a puzzle….

So now because of the multiple price providers that PbtH can use, your chances are very good indeed of getting the correct prices at the earliest moment possible.

Test and (hopefully) enjoy the update!
