They gave the original owner a deadline, if they don’t respond before them I’ll get the option to take over the ownership of the app.

Do you maybe know when the deadline will expire? To be honest I’m very hesitant to buy anything from Philips Hue due to the status of the app. I’m happy to hear though that there are people like you who are willing to maintain it once you have the ownership.
