Fixed the bug of temperature jumping back after a few seconds in homey in version 1.6.1 ![]()
This morning v1.3.3 crashed a lot, i found that it always happened after enable the logging and restarting. After clean install and not enabling the logging it wouldt crash anymore.
Just tested version 1.5.2, i cant set the heating mode anymore trough the device. Yesterday on version(v1.2.?) it worked. flowcard was available and didnt work either. When i do this the zone goes from orange to black, but after 3 secconds its back in orange. So o guess that its the same problem with the temperature and it wil be fixed with your version 1.6.
Reading Outsidetemperature by adding a nonexisting heatpump works.
Edit: just found out that on v1.3.3 when i deactivate my heating on the thermostat itself, i can reactivate by using the card “annuleer handmatig ingestelde temperatuur”
Must be some endless loop, memory usage is normal.
CPU should be every minute a small spike of 10% usage.
I this still happening? Could you send a homey diagogstic support (app > settings > make diagonstic report)
Thanks. How do update to the newest version? When I look in the app store, it shows 1.3.3 as newest version. It doesn’t automatically update either.
The stable version is in review before it is available for everyone.
You can install the test version, this will be updated when I upload a new version:
I am temporarily disabled app since Homey reloaded few times
Will grab a logs if issue persist
Thanks!
Currently testing v1.6.2.
When i make changes in the homey on the device in temperature, the thermostat reacts after 10 secconds. When i change this screen it doesnt reacts.
I tried the flowcard to change the heatingmode, but i also get no reaction. Currently i solved this in the flow by using “set a temperature” , and “cancel temperature” with a delay of 10 secconds.
The jumping back to previous temperature is solved.
I also noticed on insights that when i activate one day away on my thermostat that the set temerature stays the same, but i guess thats something in the Vaillant-enviroment.
In Dutch we have a saying “ lang gewacht en stil gezwegen, nooit gedacht en toch gekregen‘.
I am a happy man. Thank you for developing this long-awaited app…
Kind regards,
Paul
I can now see the outside temp. Thanks for that!
Is it possible to add the outside temp in the flowcards voor the VR921 so I can use it as an outside temp sensor to activate other flows?
regards,
Tim
How did you enabled it?
I do not see any sensors except a humidity.
Or it is part of Heat Pump?
Sorry for silly questions
Currently I am using proxy from HomeAssistant to compare. And it has domestic water as well as my recoVair “domestic ventilation system (duct system)” - though it is not quite correctly shows what I can do with it, but having ability to “boost” vent is enough.
I can also see a water pressure in the system as well.
I think I am using the latest version of an app.
Examples:
Thanks for your feedback, I think that I know what the issue is. I guess you have a VRC 700 thermostat?
I’ve tried to fix this in version 1.6.4, but because I have a different thermostat not able to verify if this change fixes the mode change issue. Also added error feedback to the action cards.
The actions cards where always succesfull, also on a failed api call
He, the outside temp is indeed part of the heat-pump. Will rename this to a more generic term, because I see it also works with other types of heating source than heat pumps.
But for now you could add you’re setup as a heatpump.
The domestic water options and water pressure are also available in the ‘heatpump’ device.
For domestic water it is not yet possible to set the mode, but setting a the temperature is possible
The recoVair/duct system is not added yet. Will focus first on getting all heating functions working ![]()
Will add flow cards for the outside temp
I have outside temp as part of VRC720 and Domestic water as well
I think this data should be available from API.
I am not using heat pump BTW, just a condenser gas boiler
I can share any response if needed ![]()
Yes, i have the vrc700. Ill try your latest version as soon as i can and keep you informed.
Got a new entity, thanks!
I cannot set a domestic water temp anywhere, will enable logs

When I use the cart “Stel warm water in op…” the minimum setting is 35 degrees Celcius. Is this the “tapwater” or the “CV water” temperature? When it is CV water, why it is not possible to set below 35?
Of course the thing I like to create is a manual setup for the “stookcurve”
Of course the most convenient solution is to “set the outside temperature” and Vaillant just start to use the build in “stookcurve”
This is currently only possible trough flow actions cards.
Not sure if you want to change the hot water temperature in the Homey UI? It is not something you often want to change on demand right?
The “warm water”/“hot water” setting is for tap/domestic hot water.
The Central Heating temp is not yet possible in a flow card. Was looking in to this. I have to add a new device type for that, because 1 heating system can supply more than 1 heating circuit.
So there is a one to many relation. Will take some more time to implement this ![]()
