[APP][Pro] myAudi - Connect your Audi EV or PHEV

I can not log into the app, it say “Error: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘catch’)” i have a Audi e-tron 55 2019mod, what can be wrong? it no error code to send in the app, see this sent from Homey 0d18b573-a6f5-4564-bfbc-c0f9bb6d2f73

The height of the widget was a fixed value - It’s changed to dynamic now.

Hopefully it looks better on Android in app version 1.0.62

Hi,

Thanks for the detailed log — I can see exactly what’s happening. There are two separate issues:

1. Login credentials / Terms of Service (your actual problem)

The error login.errors.password_invalid means the app cannot log in with the credentials you entered. For a 2019 Audi e-tron 55, please try the following:

  1. Verify your credentials: Open a browser and go to Audi Wensite and try logging in with the exact same email and password you entered in the Homey app. If login fails there too, your password is incorrect — reset it via the “Forgot password” link.
  2. Accept pending Terms of Service: The log also shows the German message “Bitte in die App einloggen und die Nutzungsbedingungen akzeptieren” — this means Audi is asking you to accept updated terms. Log into Audi App on Android or iPhone, confirm any pending dialogs/consents, then try pairing again in Homey.
  3. Re-enter your credentials in the Homey app setup after confirming the above steps.

2. TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'catch')

This is a secondary bug in the app that only surfaces when a login attempt fails. It does not affect you directly — it just causes an extra error line in the log on top of the actual login failure. This bug is fixed in the next release.

In short: The root cause is the Audi ID login failing — most likely wrong password or unaccepted Terms of Service on Audi’s side. The app itself is working correctly for other users. Please check Audi Website and Audi App first.

I can log in to both web page and my audi app on my phone. The user name and password are correct

Please update to latest version (myAudi | Homey).

  1. Try to add the car in the Homey app “new device → myAudi …”

  2. Check MyAudi app settings → API Helper → Retrieve API data

  3. Still no luck → send another Diagnostic Report.

Hi Andi,

Yes it is, thanks.

Look at the picture, the password is correct and altso the username, i try to get a new password ane still the same. i have the latest version from the app 1.28.1. i have a e-tron 55 late 2019 mod,

@Finn_Cato_Andersen
The login is now working, but the API cannot find any vehicle linked to your account. For a 2019 e-tron 55, please check the following:

  1. Open the myAudi app on your phone and confirm your e-tron 55 appears under “My Garage”. If it’s not there, the car is not linked to your Audi ID.
  2. Check your Connect subscription: The 2019 e-tron 55 requires an active Audi connect package with remote services. This is a paid subscription — if it has expired, the API will return no vehicle data.
  3. Accept data consents: In the myAudi app, go to Settings → Privacy and confirm all data sharing consents are accepted.

Once your car is visible and controllable in the myAudi app, the Homey integration should work.

the car is in the garage in the app, there is noe audi connect i can buy, i think it is there allready, i can`t see that anywhere, it was working properly for some daysago ( in my own app) but it suddenly stopped, around 26.may i guess

Dear Finn

As you’re able now to get the API data, you should as well be able to add the car in the app.

Andi

Dear Andi,
First of all; how great it is you (re?)created this app for Audi. I installed it but am having trouble loging in. This is what I so far did:

  • re-installed the app on my phone
  • logged out, logged in on the app and accepted the terms
  • changed my password to a more simple one (without special characters)
  • waited for an hour before logging in agan
  • restarted the homey app
  • checked the car is in de app garage (and it is)
  • logged in online to check my credentials are indeed set
and maybe more. But I keep getting the “failed to login” error message with the check question if my credentials are ok and if I accepted all in the app.

How can I debug more?

It concerns an Audi A6 avant 50 TFSI e

Thanks in advance for your help!

Kind regards,

Hi Robert

Thank you for the detailed description

API Helper Tool
In Homey → Apps → myAudi → Settings, there is an API Helper tool. Enter your credentials there and tap “Connect”. It will show step-by-step what happens during login and give a more specific error than “login failed”. send me the details

Diagnostic Report
In Homey → Apps → myAudi → Create a Diagnostic Report and send me the ID

Hi Andi,
Many thanks for the swift reply. On my phone, I navigte in Homey to Apps, than MyAudi and then I searched for settings. I presume you mean the gear on the top right. There are not many items I can see there (whether it is enabled, auto updates are enabled, cpu usage, mem usage etc). On the top there is a button with app settings. If I press that, I get a “This page is removed” page and the suggestion that if I need the API helper tool, I need to go to the Forum.

Diagnostic report is: 273746ff-bdce-48c7-bff2-ba2fc713ef60

Kind regards,

You’ll find the API Helper under “App-Settings” on the same screen where you created the Diagnostic Report:

Thanks,
Indeed I found it there, but pressing it gives e the error message “This page is removed” and points me to the forum.

Oh, wait. pretting on that forward brings me to a login

Please uninstall the app and make sure to install it again by using this link: myAudi | Homey

Hi Andi,

This was the trick. Somehow I installed an older version then I think. Thanks so much for the help. I’ll be busy testing the rest of the day.

Warm regards,
Robert

Hi Robert,
it looks like you still had the deprecated original app installed. It should work now. If not, just let me know.

Regards,
Andi

Hi Andi,

I’m having the same issue. Reinstalled the my audi app and agreed with everything, installed your latest version of the app. Checked on the website if my credentials work and that’s no problem, services active and open. But still I get this.

Hi @Olivier80

Please try to add the car and run the API Helper again. If it not works, create a Diagnostic Report.
