Couldn’t find this in the faq. Perhaps you can elaborate it.

  • I automated my 2 airconditioners. This works like a charm. But, (sometines) when i manually turn on the airconditioners, the workmode is set to auto mode, the temp. sets inself at 24gr. airstream is set to middle/middle and fanspeed is set to auto. Is it possible to set this on the latest working settings?

Manual button on the airconditioner itself.

Then no. I think Mitsubishi just uses the default settings when pushing the button on the device itself.

Hi @evdpol. First I would like to thank you for creating this app. It is so much easier to control my air-conditioning units using this app instead of the Smart M-Air app.

What I noticed is that the app interface changes from black to orange if the target temperature is above the measured air temperature. This is regardless of the status (cooling or heating). My question is if it would be possible to change the color to blue if the target temperature is below the measured air temperature (or when the status is set to cooling)? This would enhance the visualization especially when using the Homey Dashboard.

I saw a related message and your response a while ago (Apr 2023) saying that an airco works in a slightly different way than a normal thermostat and it cannot control the colors. However, I ran into a similar app called ‘Mister Thermostat’ which allows you to create a virtual air conditioning. It does a great job of turning the interface orange or blue depending on both the selected status:

  • If set to ‘heating’ the interface turns orange
  • If set to ‘cooling’ the interface turns blue
  • If set to ‘auto’ the interface turns orange or blue depending on whether the target temperature is above or below the measured temperature.

My question is if there is any possibility of having a similar color setup in your app?

In the first post here, you mention that this app is for Mitsubishi Heavy, but when I click on the link in your post, the Homey App Store page says it’s for Mitsubishi Electric… :thinking:

My living room, office and bedroom WF-RAC no longer responds to commands from Homey.

Firmware: 010/131

Diagnostic report: d52913ce-c041-45d4-bbac-e433838ed26b

Reading values from the unit works. Homey also accepts commands such as changing the target temperature, operating mode and on/off state, and even reports the changed state afterwards. However, the physical AC does not execute the command.

The same AC can still be controlled normally through Home Assistant, so the unit and its local network connection appear to be working.

I removed and re-added the living room unit to Homey yesterday, but that did not solve the issue.

It worked before.

Then there is little I can do about it, as I didn’t change anything. The WiFi (module) is buggy, and restarts every hour as the WF-RAC protocol specifies. Sometimes it doesn’t work here to, no cause is found yet by anyone.

Great app, thanks for the effort. Everything works accept for the vertical flow. When testing the action the adjust the vertical airflow results in an orange progressbar and no respons from the airco. The horizontal flow works fine.

Anyone else experience this?

Update: This only seems to happen when doing the action from an advanced flow. When triggering the action either from the device or standard/basic flow, it works fine

Feature request: use Flow tags for AC settings

I am building one Advanced Flow for both cooling and heating. At the moment, I need to create almost the same chain of cards twice.

For cooling, for example:

  • Mode: Cool
  • Temperature: 22 °C
  • Fan speed: Auto
  • Horizontal airflow: Center-right
  • Vertical airflow: Auto

For heating:

  • Mode: Heat
  • Temperature: 20 °C
  • Fan speed: Auto
  • Horizontal airflow: Center-right
  • Vertical airflow: Auto

The temperature action already accepts a Logic variable / Flow tag. Could the same be supported for these cards?

  • Set operating mode to …
  • Set fan speed to …
  • Set horizontal airflow to …
  • Set vertical airflow to …
  • Operating mode is …
  • Fan speed is …
  • Horizontal airflow is …
  • Vertical airflow is …

An even better solution or extra would be one new Then card:

Apply AC settings

Mode:                [tag / variable]
Temperature:         [tag / variable]
Fan speed:           [tag / variable]
Horizontal airflow:  [tag / variable]
Vertical airflow:    [tag / variable]

Example: the flow fills in cool, 22, auto, center-right and auto.
For heating, the same card uses heat, 20, auto, center-right and auto.

This would replace several separate setting cards.

Yes it is, for a long time now. This is also mentioned in previous posts (1 / 2).

But thank you for mentioning this here, so others can also read it.

9/10 diagnostic reports are about connectivity problems that I simply cannot solve because of the way WF-RAC is designed to work. Some people have a lot connectivity problems, some do not, others once every so often… WF-RAC is simply unpredictable and unreliable.

Question: In the Smart M-air app, there is a Favoriet 1 and 2.
Is it possible to add that in a flow, as the card?
Set airco to Favoriet 1 or Favoriet 2 setting.

Unfortunately that is, and won’t be possible due to API limitations.
