I wasn’t sure if like some apps you preferred to restrict/specify the number of preview lines, that was my only thought… if it was something you had specified. But if not, that’s excellent
It was just an idea, as I didn’t want to suggest something that would remove your branding… so a small green iCal logo/icon seemed a good compromise. Wanting to help that’s all
Amazeballs! I mean 120,000 would be nuts ha ha… but enough space so you can see the next 4 weeks-ish would be really nice to have. (Ever since my chemo my brains been mush, and I just can’t remember things like I used to… so a calendar dashboard is my saviour for anything past tomorrow.)
What you have created so far is really excellent, and hugely appreciated. Thank you.
Removed the calendar dot under the calendar title. The dot was still shown when Show calendar name was turned off in the widget settings. And the bar on the left already shows the calendar color
Increased the max height to 5000 to allow for much more visible events, since scrolling isn’t an option
Long titles now wrap onto next lines instead of showing … at the end
Added a widget setting for showing location of the event
Bugfix: A multiday event would only be shown on the day it started
I’ve been testing the new version from test, and I haven’t seen any memory issues (which is rare for my Homey Pro 2026… cos I have it quite heavily loaded ha ha )
But you can see when I rebooted my Homey earlier this evening
@runely I’ve got a full month showing in the widget, and it’s working great, can scroll up and down the list no problem with the new extended height widget.
It’s fast loading in the Dashboard, and the titles are wrapping lines rather than truncating. Very impressive.
oh man, then i have no clue what is going on haha.
The version that updated was apparently 3.3.0 first at 18:30 and after my app-restart, version 3.3.1 updated.
But the ram spike is still there, can only find a spike in the following apps.
You see the little app-restart dipp there at 00:30 for ical, and a little while ago i just restarted all 3 apps too (even more odd i would think it would drop even more).
Telegram spike might be legit as i have been playing with topics all evening.
Advanced trigger, no clue, it spiked up again.
Homey reboot has just been done (after graph pics), system memory down to 330 from 550+ at least, but no difference for the apps.
When the app is reading in your calendar data from t’interweb I presume it reads it in to memory and then processes it and dumps any stale/out of date data… which would cause memory usage fluctuations. It doesn’t look way off the scale of numerous apps I’ve monitored in the past. So yeah, probs reading to much in to it ha ha
The change log info comes from an app called… wait for it… it’ll shock you this one will… promise it’s worth the wait… really… nah, just pulling your leg… an app called “Changelogs”. See, it’s a really doosie The entry in my timeline is just a simple Advanced Flow, it also emails me a copy using the “Email Sender” app.
The memory graph on my iPhone is just another app, one called “sysinternals”. It gives you all sorts of useful information on the device card, and a whole bunch of useful Advanced Flow cards… I mostly use the “Telemetry Collector” app to write Homey system stats to a SysLog server running on my NAS. Handy for troubleshooting. But also setup some alerts, like the other day when my Homey Pro hit 157% CPU load
I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time! xD
Oh ok great thank u! I just saw that I could do timeline event → contains update → telegram info.
So i did that, don’t how i never thought about it before haha, changelog less important (for now) just important when updates happen to see if that coincides with my system monitor flow.
I shall now retreat back to my lurking state, please forgive my overly (non) dramatic RAM-ble!
I am a Google Tasks junky, and they tend to be included in my “General Calendar” and thus tasks get caught up in my “real event reminder” triggers.
Is there a way to distinguish these and maybe be able to exclude them somehow?
Also, I have a recollection that one could se data when searching for tags, but I only see this:
The behavior actually shifted over the past year or so, it went from feeling like a simple task checklist to functioning more like a full calendar event. In my setup, tasks (not just events) are triggering in the “events within …”.
It’s not a major issue, but it would be great if my Sonos could distinguish between an actual scheduled event and a task like “look into this idea for xyz”.
My iCal flows have worked perfectly forever, so it was only when I went to make a change recently that I noticed this. Good to know it’s just local temp data now. Appreciate the clarification!
