You are welcome to send a diagnostics report from the app right after the flow card has or should have triggered. And I’ll take a look to see if I can see something
I started a support ticket yesterday. I am awaiting a response from Athom. I just ran a test (an event starting in 8 hours). I restarted the IcalCalendar 5 minutes before that. Miraculously, the trigger worked this time. I’ll add a few more tests and will let you know! ![]()
Edit:
I did some tests and discovered that the ‘number logic’ is only triggered if I use the same card with the same entered start time.
In the example below, I entered ‘810’. Entered cards always trigger. If I give the ‘number logic’ the same value (810), both cards trigger at the desired moment. If I want the ‘number logic’ card to trigger independently (for example, with 809 and leaving the entered card at 810), the ‘number logic’ card does not trigger.
In other words: With the same entered data, the ‘number’ card triggers, but not independently.
I created a diagnostic report. For the last test, I restarted the app."

I managed to recreate this on my homey’s as well, and in fact, I think this is caused by a bug in the app.
I have been running a test version on my development homey which seems to be working as it should.
I’ll release this as a test version soon. Would appreciate if you guys would give the test version a go and let me know
Thank you for your time and effort. Glad to hear the issue seems to be resolved. Of course, I’d be happy to try out the test version. Just let me know when it’s available.
Test version released. Please test out and let me know ![]()
Tested and working! Much appreciated!
I love this app! I don’t use it for much, but what I use it for is great.
I have set up a flow that gives me a notice when it’s a Swedish flag day in the calendar. It also gives me a notice when it’s time to take down the flag which is either at sunset or at 21:00, which ever comes first. The last notice I would never be able to get using only iCalendar.
I’m sure I could come up with much more uses for the app but my calendar is pretty empty. ![]()
Is it also possible to create a card with: Every event end whit in “number” “unit” from “calendar name” .
There is already a similar AND card available. However, it only works when an event starts. See below:

I’m using the AND card in an advanced flow. Not as a trigger ![]()
You don’t need a separate and card to do all that.
Use logic cards to evaluate the tags from the trigger card.
Yes, I understand exactly what you mean. I also frequently use the logic cards with an iCalCalendar WHEN card. However, I am now using the AND cards in an advanced flow without an iCalCalendar WHEN card. In that case, I believe the logic variables cannot be used. If they can, I would love to know how ![]()
That’s correct.
In that case, it’s a feature request. Please add a GitHub issue here and i’ll take a look at it when i get the time.
It seems that i have an issue with iCalCalendar. I use the card “The event begins in X minutes” and sometimes the card don’t trigger anything. I’m sure that the event is seen by iCalCalendar because i have 6 differents “The event begins in X minutes” with different X values and it’s generally one of those that don’t work and the same card could work for te next event. It’s very random. What can i do?
Hi,
I appear to be merely missing the entire concept, so my question is almost certainly stupid.
I would like to send the events´ names of all events of the “Familienkalender” as a text tag to my AWTRIX.
How do I best do that?
Regards
Philip
The app are event driven, meaning that a flow starts when a calendar event is happening (starting, ending, etc).
The app also has condition cards to be used in flows to check if a event or any event is ongoing, etc.
I have no idea what AWTRIX is. But if you want to get all event names of a certain calendar and pass it somewhere else you need to use HomeyScript! There are two examples on the GitHub page you can use to get started.
Hello after a long time I had the time to try your App again and it’s working very well. Thank you for your great work.
I have only one question. If I use the description tag for some text to put into a WhatsApp message, I get all the html code with the text. Is the a way to get only the description?
Then it sounds like your description tag contains HTML.
To check if it contains HTML, download your ics file on your computer, open it and search up your event and see what the description contains.
IcalCalendar uses the raw contents of the description tag
Hi @runely ,
Still using this app frequently, and thanks for that.
Where you able to locate the issue with recurring events in exchange?
