Funny, I was looking at Heimdall as well, but then I realised my old Alarm was still working perfectly fine, so I will be using the Konnected Panel as interface to the old alarm.
But even if you have no old Alarm anymore, have you seen the Standalone Alarm System built in the Konnected Panel? Much easier and way more reliable than an app, and you can always interface more stuff on top with Homey, for example I used a cool Read light flashing flow
Plus that in my House I have two independant Areas in the alarm (Spitted zones I think it is called) and Heimdall cannot do that as far as I could see. That will be my second Konnected panel maybe, if I want to interface the second earea too, but already supported by my old alarm so no rush.
And BTW, I do not have any error in Konnected Web app anymore like you do:
Havenât heard of Standalone Alarm System, will have to look into it. Once the final version is published to App Store i will remove them all and see if that fixes the error and then re-add. Hopefully that will resolve it.
I just noticed you mentioned âFunction built inâ, indeed, but there are no flows to program at all, the Konnected panel does it all, just need to program it right, then it gets burnt in the firmware and it is rock solid. Then from Homey you can just interface the extra bells and whistles, but alarm all the way to the siren is hardcoded in Konnected itelf, without needing anything to function. Then you donât rely on a flow that hangs or a firmware update of Homey or whatever may happen on you other 127 devices and 98 flows for your security.
Oh, so i think i understand. I donât have a âPanelâ to interface with the Konnected Pro 12 zone. I was using HA and had automation setup and just did everything on my phone. Well almost everything it really was automated, arm and disarm via google home and would turn on when everyone left and turn off when someone came home. I removed the physical panel when i moved in.
And to not get you confused, the Standlone Alarm System is in the Konnected Setup App and it works just like a good old alarm system, not sure I have seen a manual somewhere but pretty straightforward:
Oh wow i donât think i have ever seen that or maybe i went directly to SmartThings and then to HA so never really paid attention. Yeah so i dont see that in my Konnected App. Is that a UK thing i wonder?
I see something called Noonlight that is like subscription based.
I think noonlight is a Alarm Service, people who check your house when an alarm is triggered, but no idea, available only in the US, not gonna subscribe anytime soon, by the time they get here, my house would be emptied already
Adding the alarm panel was a great learning experience for me. Thanks to @MarcM feedback, we were able to resolve most of the issues. There are a few minor cosmetic flaws, but Iâll fix those over time. Since I donât have a Konnected device, we built this entirely based on feedback. @MarcM and I put in a lot of effort. I hope you enjoy using it.
@Peter_Kawa Iâm curious to know if the test version works for you as well. Did it cause any issues on your device? By the way, thank you for your donation.
Update 2:
Another detail: I think the used capability for soil moisture, measure_humidity.soil
should be changed to the standard capability measure_moisture
I know itâll be a breaking change, but I donât mind
TY!
Update1:
I found a little glitch with the âTurned on/off for x [unit]â trigger flow cards for the 3 switches:
the switch names are missing:
@Peter_Kawa I have similar small glitch here as well but on the Alarm Panel, my 3 outputs do not have a name so a bit tricky to find out which is which:
@ugrbnk, I had previously abandoned using Homey as I required support for the Konnected Alarm Panel Pro but could never get it to identify with the other ESPHome app. I just loaded your app version 1.0.92 from the Homey app and it recognizes my alarm panel but exhibits a number of the issues outlined earlier in this feed. Is it possible to get the newer version of the app to test/evaluate. Having support for the Alarm Panel would be great news. Thanks for your work on this.
Thanks. I was able to install the test version and get everything configured. Now I just have figure out how to configure my Ring Keypad and an alarm application similar to what Iâm using currently with Smartthings. panel/dashboard to utilize.
MarcM, I just got my Konnected Alarm Panel Pro configured with Ugurâs application. Iâm curious as to the process for using the Konnected Standalone Alarm system with Homey. Also, do you use a physical keypad? I currently use the Ring Keypad V2 with Smartthings Home Monitor interfacing to the Konnected Alarm Panel Pro. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks.
