Adding the Konnected Alarm Panel with the 12 Zones and 3 Outputs gave exactly the same results as previous tests (All sensor are a copy of the alarm Panel and all give the same Could not get device by id error)
Then I de-installed and re-installed and tried adding each sensor separately.
I selected the correct one, then device appears in Homey.
I continued with 2 of each Door, Motion and Window sensor types, and got them all in Homey with correct type:
But I stopped there because I can see none of them is reporting the correct state of the physical sensor I do not know what more I could test on this version…
But I just noticed something that could be useful:
All devices that were added manually have an id of the format “manual_IP_entity”:
But as far as I can see from Konnected API doc, their id should be of the format “binary_sensor-name_of_sensor“ but not sure if we are talking about the same id here, but just because of the Could not get device by id error:
Let me know if there is anything else I could check, log files, anything?
In other test versions, I was able to add them all to Homey at the same time, but Homey still sees them all as a single device. This limitation seems to be entirely related to Homey’s structure. No matter what I do, it only adds one of each sensor type.
I tested 1.0.103 and was able to add the individual door sensors by name and corresponding to individual entity keys. I added 2 doors for testing. The only issue is they didn’t show contact when opening of any doors. I was not able to add the panel by itself as it showed bad format error on the key, but the same key worked for the individual sensors. I could remove the key for testing but it is kind of a pain to remove and add it.
Do you think it would be possible to add a single door contact but have the tag created to pass the name of the entity so at least we could trigger automations that could use that tag in the flow and inform us which door might be open. I know it isn’t the best solution but it would provide a short term workaround.
I installed 2 of each Door, Window and Motion sensors, to make sure that the previous bug of being able to add only 1 is gone. But I stopped here because I can see that none of the senors are reacting to activation/deactivation of the physical devices:
That means the 12 zones, the 3 outputs and even the RESTART button
Too tired to write more right now, but a HUGE thanks to Uğur for all his efforts and kindness. 36 new builds in 5 days, but the result is worth it Sleep tight and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Same great luck adding all the individual sensors and all the contacts responded as expected. I added the Siren as a siren but it didn’t work, so i added it as a switch and it worked perfectly as well as the reset. Thank you so much for all your hard work @ugrbnk!!!
I wasnt able to add the Konnected Alarm panel directly as it doesn’t see the key as an entry. Received error, Key expected. Other than that everything is working great.
Cool! I guess you mean the Encryption Key? Did all the testing without, I guess that will be my next step. And for the Siren, not sure it is a separate device on the Pro-Panel, have you tried one of the 3 outputs, should be one of them:
No, adding all at once was an older build but that never worked. I know @ugrbnk struggled A LOT and we tried so many ways, but at the end the manual adding worked perfectly, and it does not really matter, you do it only once right?
Yeah the Encryption Key. My Alarm 1 on the panel is the Siren. Ah, so then i don’t really need to add the “Konnected Panel Pro” itself since I created a switch for the Alarm 1 (AKA Siren) and can just trigger it with my flows?
Right adding them “one and done” is great, so I dont really mind at all. Didn’t want to cause an issue with dup entries if i add the Panel and it also adds all the same entries.
I did notice I’m receiving some API failures on the panel, since i connected it to the api. Not sure what they are from.
Ah, I get it! No, now the panel will only install the panel, no more associated sensors that did not work.
Benefit is that you can arm, disarm, partially arm and even access the Restart button and I did not check the flows yet.
Try it out, it works perfectly and you coud still add vistual buttons if you really want to have a big button for your Siren It might help on your Encryption key issue as well?
Just use the Add Manually when adding the panel itself:
Oh very nice. I was going to look at using Heimdall, but wanted to get these working before I jumped into that. Looks like it has some functions built in but you still have to setup the buttons and flows so not sure it is worth it, resource wise, but i might try it out. I am using the 2026 version so should be okay either way. Oh and i am really new to homey, so if i wasn’t suppose to be playing with the Test, i do apologize. Its just in my nature to test and tinker. When I say new I mean, like a week in…lol.
