Hi,
I have the same problem as Jor. The app constantly crashes.
In most cases a HA integration spams the Homey app with a massive amount of messages. Please check in HA developer tools (listening to events) if there is such an entity.
The CPU usage of Homey app corresponds to the amount of messages sent by HA.
Another possibility is a malformed or invalid message.
I get crash logs where the async messaging throws exceptions (crashing the app) caused by invalid UTF8 signs, invalid JSON content etc. So if an entity sends bad data, this can crash the app. And I canāt really control it because itās inside the websocket base code.

I just found the Sunsynk power & energy flow card Iād like to share with you.
Iāve 3 PV inverters with 6 strings, which can be showed nicely.

It also has battery & EV options
Hey @RonnyW ,
I have added a timer device from HA (selected timer in your app), and it does not update the remaining time. I would not expect it too update every second, but every minute would be good. Is there something I can do?
I added the device 3 days ago. If I Pause it, Finish it or starting it, it would update. Is it possible for you to make it update regarding to the " finish_at" entitie?
If I remember right, HA only sends entity state updates on a timer state change (start, stop, finish), but no time updates.
@JB2K You are using timers, too. Am I right?
Ok, thanks for the clarification.
Yes but only start en stop
Hello everyone ![]()
I am thinking of TRYING to add HA into my setup (in kind of a support role to Homey) and I have many questions - I already asked one in another part of this forum. But I have a different one to ask here - I currently have Homey, HomeKit & Google Home. All my devices are hooked up and working (except my Aqara Temp sensor which is giving me issuesā¦) I know that HA automatically detects (and I think even adds) some devices during setup.
So my question is - since these devices are already connected, will letting HA also connect them cause me any problems?
No I have many devices (to test for example) on both Homey and HA it works perfectly fine!
As already said, you will have two app devices from the same physical device. You can use both in Homey and both should update.
You only have to check if you have to exclude them from sync (hide the duplicate from Alexa, exclude duplicate from HomeyEnergy etc.)
Hi all,
Iām trying to add my three batteries and have entities for input power, output and percentage batterij set voor a device. But Homey says itās inactive in Homey Energy. I guess I should do something else. Who can help me?
Besides power values, youāll need the energy values as well
Most probably the top two entities (kWh), Martijn. You have to use specific Homey capabilities for those.
Details in Ronnyās blog:
Thanks. But thats the issue; I donāt have one capability for input and output. Those are two. So, Homey sees only charging and not discharging, depending on which one I make the main capability.
I fixed it. For anyone with the same issue; add a sensor template with negative value for the output in HA. Combine input and output in a group. Use the group as the entity in Homey.
Nice idea using the group ![]()
I made a new blog post about solar panelsā¦

āI have an MG4 EV and thereās a Home Assistant integration for it. Is it possible for you to create an EV integration for this using your Home Assistant app?!ā ![]()
You can create your own custom device and import the entities you want.
There wonāt be a real ācar deviceā because there is no HA domain for. These devices are just a group of entities.
So add your data to a custom device and set device class to ācarā.
ā¦but this thread is going to be a HA thread now. Further questions please in the HA community app thread ![]()
