Today something strange happened with one of my z-trm3 thermostats. It controls floor heating on wooden floors and the floor temperature was set to 22 Celsius. For these type of floors it is important that the temperature does not exceed 27 Celcius, or else the floor may be damaged.
Last night the z-trm3 kept heating on despite the set floor temperature was met. I have a flow that warns me if the floor temperature becomes too high, and then should turn of the thermostat. Before I was able to do something the floor temperature reached 36,5 Celcius! In the Homey app the thermostat did not give any errors and seemed to be responsive, but it was simply not possible to get it to turn off the heating. Not even after turning the thermostat off in Homey. I could see on power consumption that (both within the Homey app and within an external power app) that the power consumption from the thermostat was at max. I tried to restart the app, restart homey etc, without any effect.
Has anyone had similar issues? What can I do in the future to avoid this happening again?
Hi, I just replaced a bunch of dimmers with Heatit. Both Z-DIM2 and ZM Dimmer. Love the look and feel. The feedback to Homey seems to be the most accurate and comprenensive on the market.
I have just one issue. More in the nice to have than need to have area. But still, it would be icing on my cake
When using the dim to flow card duration is an option. I’m used the setting a 4-5 second duration just to get a more exclusive experience in rooms with a motion sensor. This works with all other brands I’ve tested. However with Heatit the flow does nothing. It doesn’t even dim to the appropriate level. Is this a bug that can be easilly fixed? I’m hoping it’s an app bug, not firmware.
Hi,
Have problems with Heatit Z-TRM6. They fall out of the Homey often. Have 9 of them. Currently 2 of them are not working anymore. Fix to make them work stable?
And dont look like they build a nettwork? “Brunt Soverom” is the one that is longest away from the Homey. But it stills connect directly. The Fibaro units in the same area of the house is connected through other devices.
Hi,
I have installed my Heatit ZTEMP2 and I have the heatit zwater relais. Now i wanted to set associations that the thermostat controlls the zwater relais. I set up association group 3 with the right IDs: 77.4,77.5
But unfortunatelly the thermostat doesnt trigger the relais. My old system was Fibaro HC3. There, the association worked without problem. In Home Pro I have installed everything unsecure.
Hrllo, just got some new Heatit Z-TRM6 thermostat installed. But i cant get them to connect to homey23. I follow the instructions. But after a few min the theromadtat just says error. Is there something i need to do?
I have multiple Z-TRM6 around the house. One of them has stopped working as a Z-wave unit. I did a factory reset and tried including it on my Homey 2023 hub. The display shows ERR 1, then after a failed include ERR. ERR 1 is according to the manual a “MCU and Z-wave chip communication failure”, whereas ERR is just a failed include.
Any idea how to fix this, and if not where to get a replacement? I bought my units from Eldirekte, so I should probably contact them.
I was hoping somebody could help me with an issue I’m having. Over a longer period of time my smart relays (fibaro single/double switches) which are connected to lights have been turning on randomly during the night without any flow triggered, since there are no flows connected to them. During logging of the z-wave network it happened again and it seems like my z-water regulator is triggering all these relays to come on at the same time. I’m no expert on the matter so I was hoping for some assistance in explaining to me what is happening based on the log? And if there is a fix to the z-water regulator to prevent this from happening?
Node 2 and 3 is my z-water regulators and the nodes marked in yellow are some of the relays in question.
I have a Heatit Z-TEMP2 thermostat that has a very annoying behavior.
It loses connection after a couple of weeks and i have to take the batteries out and put them back in before it reconnects. This is however not the worst issue as it currently drains my batteries faster than i can buy them. I am using quality batteries and I cant seem to find out what is wrong.
I have a strong Z-wave network and no other units are loosing connection.
Hi there. I added the Z-HAN2 to Homey. It works, but it shows up as a device in Homey’s Energy section instead of reporting the total. Thus the consumption numbers are doubled and Energy is not very usable.
Can you please set the cumulative energy property to true? This makes the behavior in line with Tibber Pulse and other HAN readers.
Some devices, such as example a P1 meter or current clamp , can measure the total energy usage of a home or power group. The device’s measurements are added towards the total home’s usage. You can mark a device measuring the cumulative energy usage by setting the cumulative property to true .
Status indicator for external temperature does not work.
I’m using the Z-TRM6 with an external sensor, mode A2.
Trying to change the status indicator to show the temperature at the external sensor.
However, the status still shows the current temperature at the internal sensor.
It should read 22 degrees, which is the correct temperature at the external sensor for the moment.
The external sensor is inside the bathroom and the Z-TRM6 internal sensor is outside the bathroom…
What value do you have in your “Temperature / Humidity report interval (s)”? It the device is forced to report too often it will drain your battery (I have tried…). Mine is set too 900 which works quite well.
