[APP][Pro] Flow Checker

On the overview “Installed Apps” doesn’t display the correct vallue.

Somebody else with this issue?

@Bjorn_Schalks please explain what you mean

Flowchecker say’s 21 apps installed on mij Homey, but i have installed 38 apps on my Homey

Please send a screenshot and a diagnostic report

As far as I understand the 21 number does not reflect the total number of apps installed, but the number of apps who’s devices are used in a flow that uses one or more variables. See also the header of the section: it is about variables used in flows.

@Bjorn_Schalks its exactly what @SunBeech its the amount of app variables used in flows

Hey @martijnpoppen

Maybe an idea for an addition for this usefull app: a check is which flows certain variables are used (creating a list of flownames).

The reason why I think this is usefull:

  • A while ago I had to reinstall my Hue Bridge. Replacing the devices isn’t a problem, the flows can be found when looking into the old device that where still available. But in many, many, many flows I use the device-variables (ilumination, tempature, motiondetection, dimming level…) That doesn’t show up in the list of flows that is stated in the device. When a list can be created where a certain variable is used the chance of broken flows will be less.
  • I have a lot of variables…but there are too many that I don’t use anymore. But I’m not sure which aren’t in use anymore. When it is possible to create a list of flows where a variable is used it would be easy to check. If the list is empty the variable can be deleted!

Hope you can add something like this to the app…?

Hey @JMH
I stumbled on this my self this week and thought that would be really nice to have.
I’ll check if it’s possible to create which flow uses which variables and which variables are un-used

I’m trying to install this app and get this error: An unknown error has occurred [incompatible_app_version]

Model Homey Pro (Early 2019) - Version 10.0.2

@Arjan_Brons make sure to update your Homey.

Fixed. As i looked up the version i noticed a newer version was avaible.
Strange, becauses auto-update is on!
After update app is installing

Hi,

I am having the situation that I didn´t change a thing with my system (no variable added or deleted, no flow changes), but flow checker started reporting several broken variables all of a sudden:

This occurs after a homey restart…

@naehle in the flowchecker settings untick the startup option

thanks - is that a symptom relief or a cure?

also: What started at the same time is that I am getting 10000ms time outs when I am trying to save modified flows…. Is there a possible connection?

@naehle
Should fix it

Don’t see any relation in that

sometimes it start checking at startup and not all apps have been loaded, and then it thinks it is broken is my assumption. Happens with me as well. when unticked “at startup” no issues (and actually no broken flows)

New app update (:orange_square: TEST: 1.31.1.):

1. NEW: update Homey API
2. FIX: isBroken
3. NEW: add Homey Logic overview
4. NEW: show variables per flow

If you find any issues, send a report via the mobile homey app

More - apps - Flow Checker - settings wheel right top - send diagnostic report (put your email in the input field to make it easier)
