[App][Pro] Flair Vents - Control your Flair smart vents, pucks, and rooms - Looking for Beta Testers!

Control your Flair smart vents, pucks, and rooms from your Homey Pro.

App link: Flair | Homey

How It Works

This app connects your Homey Pro to your Flair system through the Flair cloud API. When you adjust a vent or set a room temperature in Homey, the command is sent over the internet to Flair’s servers, which then relay it to your Flair Puck or Bridge at home. The Puck or Bridge communicates directly with your vents over radio to carry out the command.

Because the app relies on the Flair cloud, an active internet connection is required for Homey to control your vents. If your internet goes down, your Flair system will continue to work on its own — you just won’t be able to control it from Homey until the connection is restored.

What You Need

  • Flair Smart Vents — The motorized register vents that replace your standard floor or ceiling vents
  • Flair Puck or Bridge — Acts as the local hub in your home, communicating with your vents over radio
  • Flair Account — Required to connect the app to your Flair system
  • Flair API Credentials — A Client ID and Client Secret, which you can obtain by contacting Flair support or visiting flair.co
  • Homey Pro — Running firmware 5.0.0 or higher

Supported Devices

  • Flair Vent — Control vent position, view duct temperature and battery level
  • Flair Puck — Monitor temperature, humidity, light level, and pressure
  • Flair Room — Set target temperature, monitor current temperature and humidity

Flow Support

  • Trigger: Vent position changed
  • Condition: Vent is open/closed
  • Action: Set vent position

Setup

  1. Install the app on your Homey Pro
  2. Add a device and enter your Flair API credentials (Client ID and Client Secret)
  3. Select the devices you want to add

The app will automatically sync with your Flair system every 30 seconds to keep device states up to date.

Hi there,
I am looking at using Flair Puck 2s to control a couple of mini split systems in our home. Was looking to test out your Flair app, but the way I’m reading things on the app page, it only reads the information from the pucks, and app temperature control is only done through the Flair Smart Vents. Does the app allow the use of the pucks as a stand alone mini split control?

Hey @Soren_Lancaster !

Right now what the app does is access all the information of the pucks and vents.

Also you can open or close the vents using homey.

I will try to update the app so you can treat the pucks as thermostats. (Is that what you mean?)

Hi @Martin_Martinez ! Thanks for the quick reply. Essentially the Puck 2 can serve as an infrared remote control for my mini split instead of the remote that comes with them. The ability to have Homey tell temperature from the Puck as well as turn on cooling or heating to a set temperature is what I was wondering about. It would be to integrate temperature control through Homey using the Puck devices. Hope I’m making sense in what I’m asking?
