No, it’s just plain html/css/js. If it’s not processing updates then it’s totally idle.
Great app and work but would like to make a small request…is there a way to make it more smaller/compact? IMO they entire reason for a dashboard is to have a compact display of commonly used or fav devices that fits onto one screen. When editing a device and just want the slider feature, for example curtains/shades, is it possible to have name of device and slider all in one small line like lights widget?
I will have a think.
Hi @Adrian_Rockall,
First of all, thanks for this great app!
I read about Athom fixing the automatic refresh of the widgets.
I use multiple enhanced widgets on my dashboard but these are not automatically updated with a status change of a device. To update the widget I have to refresh the whole dashboard.
Is this as designed or does this has to be fixed by Athom as well?
It should all be working, it seems OK for me at least. What version of Homey firmware and Homey app are you using.
Homey FW 12.4.2 and app version 9.2.3.1741
OK, your firmware is a bit behind mine (I’m on 12.4.4-rc.6), so not sure if that’s the cause, but I think it was an app issue.
I know there was also an issue with the capability instances loosing connection for some reason, and that stopped notifications being sent to the app when a capability changed. I’m not sure if that has been resolved and if not, the only way to recover is to restart the app. However, I have had my dashboard running for a few days now without and restarts (due to making changes) and the Enhanced devices are still updating regularly.
Note: I just checked my HP2019 and that is on 12.4.2, so maybe there is still an issue with that, so I will investigate on that.
Thanks Adrian!
The FW differences between the HP19 and 23 could be why it’s working for some and not for others. Curious if you’ll find something.
I see that there are no RC’s available for the HP19 at this moment any newer than the stable 12.4.2.
Hi Adrian,
Thank you for a good app! A minor suggestion for a nicer presentation in the widget could be changing the presentation of a boolean value to Yes/No instead of true/false? And for Swedish (“sv”) Ja/Nej
Hi @Adrian_Rockall,
Did you find some time to investigate, by any chance?
I’m afraid I can’t replicate the problem on either HP2019 or HP2023. Both are still refreshing the home screen and dashboards just fine and have been running for a few days now.
New test version in the store so let me know what you think.
I did some further investigation and what I saw is that the information from for example a number field updates perfectly on my dashboard, but the ones that don’t update are the those with a text field as source type. The info at the device tile itself updates fine, but the widget at my dashboard doesn’t.
That makes me think the issue isn’t the device capabilities app, but maybe I’m the one doing something wrong here?
I will investigate given that extra information to make sure text capabilities update ok.
For your information, Athom provided me with a work-around for the changing image reference. I have described it in this post:
Hi! It says that the advanced “Enhanced set status” support conditions in the color field. Anyone know how that works? Setting conditions there? Is there are documentation for the app?
That shows an example.
Since latest stable release the event “X clicked” does not trigger the When-card.
A restart of the app resolved this.
