Bug confirmed. v2.2.1 should fix this and is rolling out now.
Oh wow! Was just about to say my flow is a simple flow, but cool thats great news! Thanks
I can confirm this fix works! Sorry for the slow coming back!
It looks like the plugin stopped working today
Deck got an error
ERROR: Cannot connect to Homey!
Please check the app FAQ on the Homey community forum!
Well, I guess you have not changed anything anywhere. Then it might be related to DNS. Maybe start by restarting your rounter/ap or whatever hands out DHCP on your network.
If that does not work, try applying the hosts file workaround as described in the FAQ. If that still does not work DM me please.
Interesting, Tomorrow morning I will check if it’s not blocked by my pi hole or something else. Thanks!
Hey @Shakesbeard, I’m so glad that restarting all the network devices in my home did the trick! Thanks so much for your help!
Hi there, I was wondering. Can the plugins be installed on a NAS or so, so the pc doesn’t have to be on all day? And will it still work if the computer locks automatically?
Well, the StreamDeck is not designed for that. I guess running the SD software on a NAS would possibly work if it has an x86 Windows architecture as operating system.
However, the StreamDeck software is also designed to prevent any input if the session it is running on is locked. Essentially preventing interaction with a locked user session. Which makes sense for the standard consumer.
As far as I am aware, there is no option in the software to disable this behavior. You would need to ask Elgato about that.
Thanks!
Since upgrading to Homey Pro 2023, my Stream Deck app on Windows shows a limited number of devices, and it seems a bit random which devices are included. The lights I want to control have appeared in the list, but have since disappeared. Triggers still work, but “Display Data” and “Toggle a Device” seem to be lacking devices. I do have quite the amount of devices, but it worked flawlessly on my old Homey 2018.
EDIT: Seems to be 60 devices in the list.
Those will naturally not show all devices. Each button feature only lists devices which expose capabilities capabilities which can be used by those buttons. If there are devices not having any capability relevant for that button feature, those will not be listed in the devices list.
This however seems to be uncommon. It might be that the device registration has not kept up. Try restarting the StreamDeck app on Homey after all other apps have started, and see if the issue persists. Please let me know your observations on this.
Yeah, I specifically meant that it’s not showing all devices with those capabilities. It’s been like this for a few weeks, and some devices have shown up and then disappeared again. To me it appears that for some reason the Homey is only giving 60 devices to SD, or it somehow being trunkated, and with a bit of random order on which devices are returned first (since I can’t discern a order to the list in the SD software) makes it so that sometimes things appear and other times not.
I’m trying a reset of the app alone now. I’ll count over the devices with those capabilities next and see how many seems to be missing. Both the Toggle and the DIsplay Data return specifically 60 devices, which seems odd that they’d both be the same amount, which leads me to believe 60 is for some reason max.
EDIT: Whelp, that worked! Now there’s >80 devices. Between the migration and all the zigbee rebinding, it’s no surprise that it may have lost track. I haven’t added all of the missing devices since I migrated, so I guess it was partly something else. I’ll let you know if they decide to disappear again.
That’s good to know. I know where this particular issue originates from. But I actually hoped it was fixed with the last update. I’ll have a look at this again.
Just as a follow-up. They were gone again, now. Restarting the SD app on Homey solved it. Fairly certain I haven’t done anything on the Homey side - not restarted it afaik. I did restart the PC.
Are you on Homey Pro or Homey Pro 2023?
HP 2023
HP 2023
Well, then it might just restart by itself as there is coming firmware updates every other day as the software is not final yet. You could try enabling power user mode and add a flow triggering on Homey startup, which restarts the SD app after a delay, as a workaround until I get this device subscription bug tackled.
What most likely happens is that not all apps are ready when the SD app starts. So not all devices are reported as available. For some reason the SD app does not properly recognize when the devices become active.
Is there a way I can use a template string for what the title of a button would have been? Say I have a device that’s a thermometer, and I choose temperature as source for my Display Data. I’d like to be able to set a title like: “Current temp:\n\n\n\n{title}” so that I can label my buttons while also displaying data.
EDIT: Also, do you have any recommendations for icon packs? The worst part for me right now is finding custom icons for stuff.
EDIT: Also, btw, I absolutely love the SD+ functionality you’ve made.

Unfortunately not. I have been thinking about supporting that for all elements. Kinda similiar to what I did for the knobs. But a bit of rework is to be done there to make this possible, due to the uhmm… slightly dirty implementation on the older elements ^^‘’
It might come in, eventually, when I can slice out the time for it. Cannot give you an ETA.

Not really. Piotezaza’s pack has a some nice options. But it might be easier to find some suitable gifs or other images to use as button bg.

Thank you!
