[APP][Pro] ChargeAmps

@Swe

Thank you!

As far as I can see from feedback from different users this works for HALO but doesn’t work for DAWN.

In a very quick comparison between the code that handles the different chargers I found one small difference, a difference that shouldn’t affect this. But I have now changed code for Dawn to reflect code for HALO.

A new Test version have been published (4.1.7) ChargeAmps | Homey

@Swe

Think I found the issue related to ‘Status stuck in charging’ problem now and also found a way to solve it.

New Test version published (v4.1.8) with fixes included. ChargeAmps | Homey

If possible it would be highly appreciated if you could confirm that the latest test version (4.1.8) works in your setup and that my App are reporting similar statuses as the CA Mobile App. And also confirm that my App isn’t stuck in charging status as it could earlier.

A few start/stop etc from both CA app and Tesla app shows no issues.
It seems though as I have to step out of the Halo device status page in homey app for iOS, and then open it again, for it to re-read status from api. Or I was not patient enough.

I also noted that if stopping the charging session in CA app, but keep the box ”on”, honey says ”finishing” very long, by ca app days ”Charging session has ended”. Maybe there is no better way, or I didn’t wait for a timeout of the state machine?!

I think you can release this version. There is definable improvement.
And I want the new commands of start/stop, instead of using ”on”/”off”. :slight_smile:

Thanks for your feedback !

It seems that the status updates works as intended now. At this point in time my App are only displaying the actual OCPP status while CA Stand-alone iPhone app are displaying a more user-friendly message.

The update frequency in the Homey App is nothing I can control from the App.

I will push this test-version to release-version later today.

P.S. Will start work to create start/stop but will take a while before it will be available. D.S.

@Borgen So far so good from my end! The new Paused by EV was triggered multiple times and working as expected. Same goes for statuses showing correctly. So sounds good with release!

One minor improvement request (low prio) for future is if it’s possible to disable the on/off button for the Device in Homey? Or change it to being Start/Stop instead of On/Off. The reason for this is that I have unintentionally tapped the device, causing it to turn off and when this happens I need to unplug and plug the car again in order to be able to charge again. So little annoying :wink:

Thanks for good work with the fixes, now my setup is working as expected and saves a lot of troubles in my days!

Thank for the feedback and your testing!

I haven’t fully decided how I will implement the Start/Stop function yet. Fully understand the issue you have run into with unintentionally turning the charger Off.

Test release is now pushed to Public version and will be available as soon as it is approved

Now there is a new Test release available (4.1.9) where I have implemented a first try on enabling support for Stop & Start charging.

At this point in time the new feature are only available through ‘Action’ flow cards, so no new button yet in my app for this (will come later).

So to be able to test the feature you need a Flow that either ‘Stop the Charging’ or ‘Starts the Charging’ as action.

It turns off charging by closing the whole session. But cannot start (a new one).
I can start a new one with the ”Start” button in the ChargeAmps iPhone app in that stage.

Tried both after stopping the session with your new card, and by stopping the charging with the Tesla App.

@nogren

Thanks for your feedback!

Ok, first solution failed :persevere:, I will dig deeper into the code & API to see how this can be solved.

Hi,
I have problem with reading kW and kWh from my Aura. Chargeing port 1 workshop perfekt but port 2 doesnt update data. I restart the app every day, but still no info on port 2. It has been working but sudently it stopped

@Borgen Any updates on the start/stop feature? I’ve tried it in flows with my Dawn charger but it haven’t worked as intended, so I assume it’s related to that the work is still in progress?

Any idea what could have turned on my Halo at 01:31? I do not see anything on the Timeline, and from the attached picture from the device, it looks like no flow, but the app itself?! Like if pressing the button in the app?
I was sleeping, as well as my phone.

I have a feeling this might have happen before.
This time it let the charging continue one extra hour, disturbing my Power tariff strategy…

Do I have to change a parameter to get the aura charger back in the energy display again?
The garage door stays closed.

Is there any solution/plan of controling charge amps loader (Luna) by a energy meter conected to Homey? Electric provider is billing for the hour with higest kw rate at different rates night and day and current solution only handles one rate, also force loader to 1-phase would be nice if there is under ~4,14kw available.
