Will do!
Homey and Broadcom are on the same network. The only one I have (Asus mesh).
This is the log after Restart of your App:
a4bcd96c-5bcc-4db0-ad04-a90809143b16
Only thing that changed in my network is that I have removed Pi-Hole and set DNS in my router to Adguard.
Mind you, both Homey and Broadcom App work fine.
Update
I switched dns to Google. Same time out in Homey with broadlink communication
You said you changed nothing
… you can try to diagnose eg. installing Netscan and trying to check availability of RM4Pro from / via Netscan, I suspect that Homey can’t connect to your RM4Pro exactly because of that reason. Sorry, can’t help more here.
Sorry I forgot about the DNS. I thought it was not relevant, as everything works fine.
Will do more testing tomorrow.
DNS might not be relevant as you are using IP - but I guess that RM4Pro might need to be connected to the cloud and that could have been broken…not sure here.
I removed RM4Pro from Homey. Added it again, the ip had not changed. Learned a RC command and…it works again.
Weird…but good to know that this will solve the issue.
Hmm, can you send again the log? That’s not usually behavior, eg. I have my RM4Pro set already for a year and still works fine…
Here it is:
9f57629a-db30-49b0-bdc5-1e8e336d32e1
Sorry, logging was off.
c73933a7-099f-48a7-aee5-edf0973bc691
First logs showed 192.xx.x.18, the new logs shows 192.xx.xx.22 … seems you do not use static IP address for RM4Pro, please check your settings.
Damn, if that is the case I should aplogize…
I can’t believe the IP changed when the time out started. All ip’s in my LAN are given with a long lease. Only after I removed the device and added a new one (which makes sense, with the IP lease in my router) a new IP was assigned.
Anyway… it is working again. And I have to thank you for the quick response!
I would love to buy you a coffee/beer!
You would be then the first one in last 40 days or so and 3rd one in last 3 months
But yes, it is.
You might be able to buy both if the place is not too classy
Done!
Thanks again!
Confirmed! All of my 315mhz stuff is working fine with the RM4 Pro in combination with Homey.
Might seem obvious, Bretislav, but just to make sure: is the Homey > Broadlink device connection completely local?
(not like Homey’s “localness” which needs internet every other week)
Thank you!
Well Peter, at least I can say that this app is Local only solution (Homey ↔ Broadlink) but devices shall be setup using the Broadlink mobile app. Also I remember I read somewhere that some devices have problems afterward, if not Cloud connected (Broadlink device ↔ Cloud)…
Thanks!
Just FYI, For a new LED light device, I’ve learned it’s IR signals using Homey and your app, it’s not added as a device in the mobile Broadlink app.

hello, does the rm4 mini also support temperature and humidity in the homey app ?
i see some users having that, but ive not seen it for the rm4mini. tia
It’s for RM4 Pro version only, I think RM4 Mini doesn’t have this functionality.
No it doesn’t have this function in homey but it does on the Broedlink app . Would it be possible to implement it in homey
I have RM4 Mini myself and it’s not provided even in the officiall app.
