Hey @Aldin_Adam_Jerjas ,
That’s the thing. This feature only works with a specific subset of Bose devices and not for all. But I have no capability to detect whether it is supported or not. So the card is showing for all devices you have paired, even if it is not supported by that device.
You can only test it if it works. I am not sure because I have no device supporting it. But I would assume that it needs at least to be a SoundTouch device which has a display on it for the message to be displayed.
No idea. You can just try test it and see if the device responds to it.
What you can do is try capture the error output of the flowcard see if it gives anything back.
Or try submitting an app diag report after executing the card, then I can check if I see anything in the logs.
I also have a Soundtouch 20, and I can tell you: It works. Important: The source sharing the MP3 file needs anonymous access, since there is no login facility in the app. I’ve done this, sharing a MP3 from a QNAP NAS, in a public folder (default setup) which has anonymous read-only access. Some routers have a functionality to share a USB storage to the network, but I haven’t tried this.
Thanks for your response. I actually got it to work after my last comment. Used this webpage. Created an account and just uploaded my file and it worked and it generated me an URL for free😊
Any idea what the message is? The reason is what is displayed on the Display.
In February your Soundtouch devices will lose their smart functions like multiroom etc.
Maybe this is not the right place, but I wonder what workarounds you guys have found? Mopidy maybe?
Hello everyone,
I think the news that Bose is discontinuing Soundtouch servers is terrible.
I found someone on GitHub who is trying to find a solution with a local server to replace the Bose cloud.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the technical skills to help with this project.
Perhaps a developer here might be interested in this project?
Have a great day, everyone!
