Anyone else notice that the app has stopped being able to connect - the offical app is also not working for my “My BMW” on iPhone?
My BMW app is working fine, but homey app did not update for 3 weeks now
Both MyBMW iPhone app and BMW Connected are working just fine.
Before, had issues with BMW Connected and it resolved when I’ve reduced pooling interval to 1800 seconds.
@Maximilien Indeed there is an issue currently in the github for this Start and stop charging · Issue #25 · lsiddiquee/com.rexwel.bmwconnected (github.com). I have written some code inspired by the HomeAssistant, however, as I have an PHEV, I am not able to test this functionality. I will try to see if I can find a BEV to finish implementing the feature. Hope this can be added soon.
@vman indeed polling interval is very crucial.
@Peter_de_Vos @Jamie
The BMW api gateway actually starts throttling. I will push an update to the app so that minimal interval allowed will be 5 mins. Once an IP address gets flagged, it stays blocked for a couple of days. I personally use 5 mins.
@Espenesg It is a great idea. If you are up for testing, I will try to create a new build sometime soon.
Hi, What do you mean by testing it works? Do you mean if you trigger it manually? Can you check in the settings, what is the refuelling threshold? I am using this regularly to create a logbook using IFTTT and google sheets. You can also just set a simple action like a push message with only a simple message like ‘Refuelled’
Hi Likhan
By testing I mean manually starting the flow and the interval is 300 sec
My refueling threshold is 2 liters.
It seems to me that the flow cards are not triggered.
What am I not doing right?
@cajp Maybe a few min before you refuel next time change the polling threshhold to 30 sec for a while and try. Also as mentioned sometimes I have seen that if homey had issues resolving tags it might not send the message at all. Thats why i was asking if you can try to send a simple message just “refuelled”.
We’re going to try it. Otherwise I’ll have to buy a new BMW to see if it all works there.
i get a constant network request failed when using the app. is it down or something? or is the bmw connected api? been a few days now and my app is working flawless.
any help is apreciated.
It is blocked for weeks now here.
App support is worthless, no response for a month. I deleted it.
He has stated that he just got a baby. Time is not what you have a lot of when that happens…
I get a “Login successful” message in the app settings, but when adding my i3 as a device, it says “No new devices found”. Version 0.6.0

Exact same issue here. I thought it was me messing up with the credentials. Seems like there might be another explanation
@Mosb and @Kay-Arne it could be because of location. The bmw service is split in us, china and rest of the world. Currently by default it uses rest of the world.
Thanks Likhan. I am in Norway and using “rest of world”. If I need to change something in the car, it’s a no-go though. My old 2013 i3 has a bug that immediately disables location sharing if I switch it on in the car, so I cannot see in any app (including BMWs own app) what the location is.
