Alfen [image] Alfen Optimal Charging, Smarter Homes: Powering Efficiency for You and the Grid Alfen App for Homey | Homey With this app you can see how much you charged with your Alfen charge station. Also you can execute some basic commands to charge your car optimally with solar energy, and, when needed, switch to full energy mode. More information about the app and how some example flows can be found here: Alfen | com.alfen Supported Features Read energy data from your Alfen Charge Station Switch between Normal, Comfort and Green charging modes Switch between RFID and Plug & Play authorization modes Set max. charging amperage Issues can be reported here: GitHub - Alfen - Issues If you like the app a donation is very much appreciated: PayPal - Me - RobertRaaijmakers Note: There are some (sometimes a bit annoying) limitations due to the security rules implemented by Alfen. These cannot be bypassed as they are properly implemented security measures. Please read the notes provided on the documentation page carefully before requesting features and reporting bugs.

Also interested. So far I’ve several zigbee and hue products connected with my Philips Hue. Looking to add several Zwave and on the point of deciding to go for Homey pro or Home assistant. On important ‘must have’ is the steering of charging point at home (Alfen Even Single Pro) and optimal use of solar panels with Huawei SUN2000L converter (connected via FusionSolar app) .

For any devs here, might be interesting: GitHub - egnerfl/alfen_wallbox: Alfen wallbox - Home Assistant Component ?

Seems Alfen can’t be integrated with Homey. An EV charger can only dump the largest load very FAST, so why is this not being build yet?

Through this (without homey) it seems to be do-able ? https://evcc.io/ Though you’d need to have bought/unlocked the loadbalacing extension from Alfen.

Indeed EVCC, works great! Up and running here for more than a month now. Can control the Alfen Eve Single Pro with Homey by Mqtt and get readings from it to Homey (also Mqtt) Edit (24 feb 2025): at the moment of writing this reaction (March 2024), there was no Homey app to connect with the Alfen Single Eve Pro. So in hindsight it might seem strange that this post refers to EVCC in an Alfen Homey app thread, but that was the reason

FYI, I am now using Tibber or Frank apps to manage the load and integrate with Homey. I live in NL. They have a feature called “Smart Charging” which uses only the cheapest charging slots based upon config. There are integrations for vaious charging stations and cars. I now use car integration but within a few months they support the Alfen Single Pro station; that is when I will switch, because of reliability issues with the car communication. Benefits for me: no need to worry about managing this myself, and still I get my own insights. So for me I do not longer need the Alfen integration in Homey directly. Just a consideration. Not sure if this applies to you / solves something for you.

Roger

Sorry, my previous post should have been in English. My Alfen Eve Single Pro is NOT in my network. Tibber has announced support for the Charger, without stating when. Currently: the EV charger is using load balancing by a connection to the P1 on my smart energy meter. the smart charging part is done using the Tibber App which integrates with my Skoda car (Enyaq iV). I have a Tibber energy contract, otherwise, I suspect, it will not work.
