I guess we all know exactly what you are talking about ![]()
So far nothing is happening….
….to be continued….
Since last update of Amazon Echo app(experimental 1.1.3),my echo devices had no deconnexion and all working as expected.Hope it stay that way…
I tried to update to the latest Amazon app version 6.0.1 experimental but it did not help to resolve the problem. Still connection issue. Really annoying..
Where are you located?
i havent had any disconnection issues either with the amazon echo homey app. im in australia. with amazon alexa i probably only experience one disconnection on average every couple of days. which is the worse case scenario. sometimes i can go on for a week or 2 with no disconnections. normally self heals in most cases. otherwise my homey flow does restart the app. that flow does check again within say 15 minutes or so if im still connected.
I’m in France
Experienced the disconnection issue like many others, located in the US. Tried the experimental 6.0.1, no improvement. Deleted the app, removing all the devices and flows as a last resort. Added 6.0.1 back fresh, after several attempts was able to get it to log in once and recognize my devices, added everything back. Within an hour they all disconnected, back to where I started. I don’t see any viable user workaround at the moment with this app as it stands today.
After click to Connect and selecting EU and India I get this message and not able to Connect anymore.
Before no problems at all
Yep, Same here in Germany.
Was really hoping that the new update would fix it
But unfortunately……
I am in London, UK & have tried the other app (Amazon Echo V1.1.3) and cannot connect to my Amazon account through that app either
Since I have many devices which Homey cannot control, I have many flows which call Amazon Routines as a work around. Obviously, these have all failed now. It is making me think I should move over to Home Assistant.
Same issue also here in France
Same issue in The Netherlands
created this diagnostics report: e31588c9-2398-4fbd-9048-677cca5a1e20
so far with the other app amazon echo its working so far. forgot to mention that i did add a flow to when an error has occurred to create a notification in my timeline when i started setting it up as a backup. the error that comes up is ‘getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND fe-api-alexa.amazon.com.au’. i suspect it recovers on its own as i havent had issues with my announcements. it does come up every couple of days.
i’ve also set it up similar to the alexa app that if it continues to have errors after xx minutes to restart the app. i’ve also set up a check every 6 hours or so to play a sound, if it fails it would restart the app.
so far checking my timeline the amazon echo app is still working.
i havent gone that far by removing the alexa app and my devices yet. it will take me a full day at least to get things all set up. ive got my critical announcements set up using amazon echo as a backup so i should be ok till we hear from jamie if hes found a solution.
from what i’m reading it sounds like some regions are more affected by others.
Same issue here in Panama.
New test update which has been stable for me,
But please let me know how you go.
Good morning
Unfortunately not working for me…..

Interesting, mine has been connected and working for 3 hours so far, its likely related to what server your connecting to.
If you go into the settings, (and your disconnected) you can change what your connecting to - do you know what you have selected?
Also please put questions around the echo app in the echo thread, I can answer them here.
I actually tried all different varieties I guess ![]()
Before I connect to the EU/India server.
And in the submenu I’ve chosen everything german- related.
That’s exactly what I tried last time.
