[APP][Pro] Airco Bridge – Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Smart M-Air / WF-RA

Airco Bridge connects Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air conditioners equipped with a Smart M-Air WF-RAC or WF-RAC-HTTPS Wi-Fi module to Homey Pro.

Please note that this app does not support all Mitsubishi or all air-conditioning systems. It is specifically intended for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries units that are
normally controlled through the Smart M-Air app.

Install Airco Bridge from the Homey App Store

How does it work?

The Homey app communicates with a separately installed service called AircoBridge. AircoBridge runs on a local computer, server, NAS or Raspberry Pi using Docker.

AircoBridge communicates directly with the WF-RAC module over your local network. Control and status information therefore stay on your LAN; the Mitsubishi cloud and a
manufacturer account are not required for normal operation.

The WF-RAC module must already be connected to your Wi-Fi network, usually by completing its initial setup with the Smart M-Air app.

This one works quite well.

Airco Bridge v1.1.0 is on its way to the Homey App Store!

This release adds per-air-conditioner presets. You’ll be able to select presets directly from the device controls and use the new Apply a preset action in Homey
Flows. Applying a preset restores its climate settings and turns the air conditioner on.

Preset support requires Homey OS 12.6.1 or newer and AircoBridge v1.1.0 or newer (Release v1.1.0 · CrazyHenk44/AircoBridge · GitHub). If you use an
older AircoBridge version, all existing climate controls will continue to work; only the new preset functionality will be unavailable.

If you want to use presets, update AircoBridge before updating the Homey app.

Feedback is very welcome—especially about preset controls and the new Flow action. When reporting a problem, please include your Homey OS version, AircoBridge
version, and the steps needed to reproduce it.

Airco Bridge v1.2.0 has been submitted for Homey certification. Once approved, this release will make adding and maintaining your AircoBridge connection much easier.

What’s new:

  • Homey will automatically discover AircoBridge instances on your local network.
  • The pairing screen will let you select the discovered bridge.
  • Existing devices can automatically follow changes to the bridge’s IP address.
  • Manual address entry remains available as a fallback.
  • The pairing screen and device-type naming have been improved.

Automatic discovery requires AircoBridge v1.2.0 or newer.

For the smoothest upgrade, update AircoBridge first and then install the Homey app update. Feedback about discovery, pairing, or IP-address recovery is very welcome.

Hi everyone,

Airco Bridge for Homey v1.3.0 has been submitted with a major expansion of its local automation integration.

This release adds:

  • Homey Flow controls to enable, disable and inspect AircoBridge automations
  • Manual-control status and a Flow action to resume automations
  • Automation-safe Flow actions for presets, power, temperature and operating mode
  • Triggers for executed and failed automation actions
  • Flow cards for self-cleaning and compressor start/stop events
  • Live operating current and compressor-frequency insights

You can find the new cards under your Airco Bridge device in the When, And and Then sections of Homey Flow. Existing devices do not need to be paired again.

Homey OS 12.6.1 or newer is required. The new automation features require AircoBridge v1.4.0; older bridge versions retain their existing climate controls.

Feedback on the new Flow cards and automation behaviour is very welcome.
