This is the solution, thank you so much for your quick reply! ![]()
Hmm, it looks like my charge point is still using the old newmotion app (homey:app:com.newmotion.my:chargepoint). My bad. Iāve tried adding a new 50five device but all I can do is provide my credentials, which leads to āLogin validation failedā. Thereās nowhere I can enter a domain. To login to the 50five website, I use https://50five-snl.evc-net.com/Login/Login.
The domain settings is on app settings. Then restart and try to add again
Sorry, I see. Check the device repair/add wizard or should be there at least
All I have at the āaddā wizard is:
Iāve removed the app and installed again. When I try to add a device, it says :āAnother pair session is already activeā but I donāt have a pair session anywhere.
EDIT: Some hours later I was able to add a new device (no more āAnother pair sessionā message) and now I see the URL as well! I left it open and only filled in my user name and password and was able to find the device etc so all is well now! Thanks for helping!
Hi,
Iāve just installed the app on my new self-hosted Homey. I get an error when the app tries to retreive my chargepoints. Could you help by having a look into the report with this GUID:
f68ca5e6-6523-4200-a839-821971887f00
Thanks so much!
Dear all,
I have a very silly question. I have been āgivenā a charging point at home for charging my car for business purposes. However, because I have variable rates, it is difficult to do the ācorrectā monthly billing. I was very enthusiastic when I saw this app. However, I donāt have a ā50five charging cardā. I use the regular Arval charging cards. I canāt configure these in the 50five app either.
Now I want to add the charging station, but I canāt get past this screen. Any idea how I can proceed? Thank you in advance for your help!
In the 50five portal you can add cards under the charge point and enable them for reimbursement, that is a different section then the normal card part.
Once you have your card there, then you can use it in my Homey app for your sessions
Thanks for the info! It seems that I canāt add anything myself. I simply receive a payment for the ārateā I entered into my account. So I think Iām also a āguestā. I canāt add a pass anywhere. Can I add my tag manually and/or continue without a loading pass?
Edit: 50five confirms. I always use my arval tags and get the āguest tariffā for all charge sessions. Can I use the app with this situation? I would like to monitor kWh usage every hour in combination with the powerbythehour app. Thanks!
Donāt use their mobile app but the web portal. There, and only there you can add 3rd party cards as new reimbursement cards
Once you did, you can use it in this app.
Their mobile app is very limited.
Could this be caused because I donāt have a 50five charge card? I only have a charge point from them. The linked card is supplied by my employer and is from MKB Brandstof.
The chargepoint is set to auto-charge with this card and that works fine for me.
Sorry, wonāt story I followed.
I donāt test on the self hosted Homey at this point.
It is nice they added this option but I have way to many apps to jump and go test while I donāt even have a system ready to deploy it on.
It is fine for everyone to try this shiny new thing, but I canāt support it at this time. I test on the Pro.
Thanks for clarifying and understandable.
It is unfortunate that Homey seems to have broken this with SHS. Is there a way for me to see the logging myself, instead of submitting it to you through the GUID? If I can file it with Homey, so they can improve SHS that would be welcome too.
Thank you very much! However, it seems that I cannot/am not allowed to add a card. I have searched everywhere but cannot find a way to add one. Not even on the site (see screenshot). It seems more and more likely that I have duped myself in my attempt to help my employer. 50five does not accept any way of gaining insight into hourly consumption in order to correct my variable rate and only wants the specified rate (which can be adjusted once a month) to be equal to or lower than the actual rate. Local API, rest API, local access, real-time insight into power consumption, they donāt accept any of them. This was my last hope. Iāll just have to accept that this wasnāt a good project for me.
Nevertheless, thank you very much for your time and input!
Ps. I can only login on this page: https://50five.evc-net.com/
It is indeed weird that you donāt have the add card there. Then you are probably not marked as the owner of the point. Thatās required. If thatās the case, ask the owner to add the card.
I have a add card at that menu that I used after the shell migration, new company car last November, and that one works fine for me.
Thanks for your reply. Well, itās my pole, itās mounted on our driveway, and I pay for the electricity.
The deal is that it is included in the lease of the lease car. The employer pays for this part of the lease, which gives the advantage of ācheaperā charging. This appears to be a very common practice in the Netherlands. According to 50five, I am therefore a guest user of my own charging station.
Is there a way to manually enter the tag I always use in the app? Or perhaps use the app āgenericallyā and read out the charging station what it does? I can see near real-time activity from the charging station in my account. (Only online, not in the app). Thanks!
That would not work, their api would only accept a charging session of a registered card.
I have the same Dutch leasecar concept, but I am the official owner of the pole.
But I have it for 8 years so it might have changed.
Thanks for the info!
The charging station has been requested from Arval. They purchase it āin one goā from ā50fiveā and charge lease costs. Although it becomes āmyā property at the end of the contract, it is already legally mine because it is permanently installed at my home.
However, 50five refuses to cooperate. They donāt respond to emails, and they hang up on the phone if you even mention that you have a question about opening up the API. An unprecedented company that I will certainly not be doing business with in the future, but that aside. So, Iāll either have to invest hundreds of euros in a 3-phase meter or take my loss. I find it unreasonable that I should have to bear either of these costs. Anyway, this last elegant route has also come to a dead end. Thanks again for your time and help!
Canāt Arval intervene in this case? Or ask them to put the maximum flex tarif on it per kWh.
They should be able to do that as the owner of the charge point. (Or give you credentials to do this)
