Does anybody else have problem with using devices from futurehome, there is no problem with getting them inn homey, put after a while I get messages like “something went wrong” or “ couldnt connect to futurehome”
Yeah, I’ve run into that same issue before with Futurehome devices dropping connection in Homey. It usually happens when there’s a temporary cloud sync issue or if the API token expires after some time. A few things that helped me:
Try reauthenticating your Futurehome account in the Homey app.
Check if your Futurehome hub firmware is up to date — older versions tend to cause those connection hiccups.
If you’re running a lot of automations, spacing out triggers can sometimes help stabilize the link.
It’s a bit finicky, but usually re-linking fixes it for a while.
The future home app got updated to 1.10.0 and the chargers stopped working. Getting some sort of error as shown in the screenshot. Is anyone else facing the same ?
Would be super if you could implement firmware updates thru the app , the Futurehome/connecte /tuya rebrand sockets turn themself off after a short time . And there is a fix for that in resent firmware .
This would probably not be possible, as most brands aren’t willing to provide firmware update files. Especially since Futurehome has a hub with a required subscription, I don’t think they will provide OTA files to third party gateways.
The sockets are rebranded tuya , and there is available firmware . Would just be so much easier to update by homey , and not pair it with tuya hub and then back again.
I don’t think Tuya is willing to provide their firmware either. Also, you don’t have to re-pair with Homey. I have all my Tuya Zigbee devices permanently connected to a Tuya Zigbee gateway, and then you can connect them to Homey with the official Tuya app:
We are away that there are sockets with older firmware that automatically turn off from time to time, which we have indeed identified as a firmware bug. However, we do not have access to the Futurehome firmware files, meaning that unfortunately we also cannot add them to the app to be used within Homey.
