[App] Eurotronic Technology App (Stable: v3.0.1)

Are there anybody who have problems adding the Comet 700 to Homey?, i know of others that are using the comet 700 without any problems, I have today received 6 of these units and I cannot add them to Homey.

I am running the 3.1.3 app, the add stage 1 and 2 are automatically green when the unit is in PA mode but then it just sits there and fails with an unknown error unfortunately, i tried standing next to homey without any difference, i tried 2 units now with the same result.

I have added the issue to their github page also.

The app currently supports only z-wave (see app page). What protocol is the comet 700?

Zwave, their newest thermostat.

i am using the experimental app

I have another friend that has one of these thermostats in his homey, it was properly added some revisions ago.

I have tried to stand just besides Homey adding the device, but still the same issue, I can sometimes get
the app to say “Could not reach the device anymore. PLease retry adding the device by holding it closer to Homey”

Hello,

I am trying to connect the Eurotronic Comet 700 but I can not connect them to the Homey. I have tried to connect with the experimental version but I can not come pass the first paring stage.

Hello
I own Eurotronic thermostats Zwave version and don’t recommend them to anyone, I always get problems with the connection, for example when my flow sends close signal it doesn’t get to all thermostats every time it sends those signals, so I have to create flows with repeated OFF signals to my thermostats and even though a lot of times signal doesn’t get to all of them and some radiators stay open (
I have many Zwave repeaters and all other Zwave devices connect well to my Homey Pro, except those thermostats, I don’t know what the problem is, but I wouldn’t buy those if I would know how they work, before I bought them.

Anyone here who has Eurotronic Spirit?

I’m looking to buy them for my homey pro 2023, but I’m not sure if they will work properly.

For me it works well. I have 9 of them. Buy one to try.

I have 3 spirit and it works well

And what type of (smart) thermostat are you both using?

I have 3 of them. They consume batteries very fast. Tried a lot of different AA models, but I have to keep replacing them many times.

I have 5 of them.
Mine also consumed a lot of batteries which is why I changed them to let them work with a 3 Volt adapter.

They work perfectly for a couple of years now.

I cannot add an Eurotronic ZWAVE LuftgĂŒtesensor to my Homey 2023. Communication cannot be established. Any idea what to do ?

In the app store’s app page, you’ll find ways to contact the dev or the app’s forum topic.

Hi Caseda,

in Feb. 2022 you announced that a ZigBee Version of the App is still in the works. Is there any new information about this topic?

I bought some Comet ZigBee 700227 to change my old Z-Wave ones because they are not very stable in synchronizising. But still today I cannot connect the ZigBee Ones with the App.

Tanks for your answer.

Best Nils

Hello Spirit users (I think maybe just the z-wave version?).

I am transitioning from Homeseer to Homey. I’ve used the Spirits for many years in Homeseer and all I needed to do (once) is set the Energy savings temperature and the Heat temperature. The flows just needed to switch from Energy saving to Heat and back. The Spirit simply remembered the set temperature for each. Usually 15 degrees for Energy Saving, 19 for Heat.
If I changed the temperature on the device itself, it would remember that as ‘Heat’ temperature.

Heat is called Comfortable in Homey.

I’ve now moved 2 of these thermostats to Homey and the most surprising thing happens. When a flow sets the Spirit to ‘Comfortable’ mode, it often changes the set temperature of it to 8 degrees in Homey! (On the Spirit it still says 15!).
Is that some sort of minimum ‘safety’ temperature that Homey’s app thinks is sensible? Why 8 And I have to have the flow set the temperature back to 19. Or just not bother with setting it to comfortable mode at all, it does that automatically when I change the temperature back to 19 in the flow.

Which begs the question: If this is normal behaviour
why would you need to set the mode to comfortable if it doesn’t remember the recently set temperature for that mode?
And why does the Homey app do this?

Anyone out here with similar experiences and ponderings? Or enlightenment’s
.
Thanks for that

Curious!

Eric

I would suspect that preset modes and discrete temperature are separate entities in the app. And how the app will differentiate them I have no idea. Actually, I never operated by presets. Only set concrete number.

8 is, AFAIK, the minimum possible value. And I think it is the app which decides, not Homey.
