[APP][Cloud & Pro] SwitchBot (Release 2.0.35, Test 2.0.49)

Maybe the SwitchBot server is having an issue

Since yesterday I have a SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor).
I wanted to connect it to Homey Pro 2023 via BLE but I only see the HUB-version in ADD DEVICES.

I use this meter for measurement values within the house, so no hub needed.

@Adrian_Rockall , would it be possible to make the BLE-device available?
Thank you.

If that’s the case, is it then plausible that the Switchbot app still is OK?

That depends if I can figure out the BLE codes it uses, but I will investigate when I get time.
Unfortunately, my wife is in hospital, so more to do at home and a 2 hour round trip to visit her.

The SwitchBot app uses a different interface to the public API plus it will work of BLE if it can.

Sorry to read that your wifie is in hospital. Please make sure that your private life is of much higher value and importance than a question from me.
Hope your wife gets well soon!

I have similar issue. Air heater has worked fine for quite some time but now it behaves strange. Instead of adjusting the temperature the heater change the mode from heat to fan and also fan speed.
When I adjust temperature etc from switchbot app it works.
Switchbot app log show openapi faild to connect to device. See attached picture.

Prioritize your family before even thinking of this. We can wait.

I have reported the issues to SwitchBot so hopefully they can investigate their end.
From the logs I have received, it seems the app is sending the correct commands, but they are not being interpreted correctly.

Same issue there.

Switchbot app send the right command.

Homey app doesn’t run correctly and command sent to my a/c is cool mode, 25 degrees.

Switchbot logs shows openapi problem.

Thanks for your interest, and good luck to your wife.

New SwitchBot user

Homey Pro 2023 and SwitchBot Hub Mini.

I have added two SwitchBot meters to Homey without any problems, they are updated in Homey accordingly (but maybe not that often that I want to though).

I also transfered an IR device that works perfectly in the SwitchBot app. So did the device in Homey after I added it, but now it’s completely dead in Homey (still working in the SwitchBot app). Looking in the app settings, the problem seems to be related to an invalid token, but nothing I can do anything about.

Is this a recurring problem with this app/integration that IR devices in Homey stops working?

Thanks!

IR devices have been very stable up until last Friday. I’m not sure what happened then, but it seems it was fixed. Maybe there’s still an issue lurking.

Thanks @Adrian_Rockall - sounds promising at least. I have sent you the logs.

As I said, the IR device in Homey worked the first day, but died overnight. Seems to be token related, this is the log when pressing a button:

* 2024-11-20T16:47:55.523Z * Sending { "command": "ON", "parameter": "default", "commandType": "customize" } to 02-202411192042-18896178 using API key * 2024-11-20T16:47:55.525Z * devices/02-202411192042-18896178/commands * 2024-11-20T16:47:55.527Z * {"command":"ON","parameter":"default","commandType":"customize"} * 2024-11-20T16:47:55.529Z !!!!!! Remote onCapabilityButtonPressed: Invalid Token.

I must admit that is a different error to the others, so maybe it’s worth trying the repair option. Although it seems to have registered the webhook OK.

I have removed and re-added the device in Homey, so now it’s working again. Let’s see tomorrow if it’s still alive

It looks like the openapi issue is solved. It all seems to work again. Can anyone confirm this?

My lock Works fine both ways (hp ↔ sb) it just needs a second or two to update, I am having it integrated via the mini hub. Do not know if this makes any indication / tip. Hope it may help.

Thank you @Jurek_Chlebowski . Now I’ve connected my Lock Pro to Homey Pro 23 using Matter (via the Hub Mini), and it’s working fine. I assume the issues were related to webhooks or the open API, as others have mentioned, which seemed to slow down communication and cause those abnormal symptoms. However, with Matter, it seems much more stable.

Great to hear it works, have a good one. J.
