Anyone working on BYD Seal U integration (SoC / charging control)?

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone is currently working on a Homey integration for the BYD Seal U, specifically for reading the State of Charge (SoC).

I’m using Homey to control my charging setup and would like to charge the car more efficiently. The challenge is that the BYD Seal U does not expose SoC via AC charging, and as far as I know there is no Homey app or API available for BYD vehicles.

My goal would be:

  • read SoC from the car

  • use SoC‑based triggers in flows

  • avoid charging to 100%

  • combine SoC with dynamic tariffs / PV surplus

  • make charging more efficient overall

Is anyone already working on:

  • a BYD Seal U integration?

  • a general BYD API connector?

  • reverse‑engineering the BYD app endpoints?

  • an OBD‑based workaround that works during AC charging?

Any pointers, experiments, or early projects would be very welcome.
