Just had a chat with the AJAX team, they’re currently proposing internally to grant us access to their status queue. This would allow us to receive real-time updates for devices as soon as their status changes.
Right now, we rely on a message queue that requires polling under strict rate limits, which means updates (like from a sensor) can take several minutes to come through. With the new status queue, we’d receive every device status instantly, even when the alarm isn’t armed. The only exception would be motion sensors, which remain restricted to when the alarm is armed.
It’s now up to the AJAX team, and we’re waiting on their final decision.
