Actual Version of App "Device Capabilities"

I recently experienced a lot of crashes with the app Device Capabilities. Looking into the issue I found the version installed on my Homey Pro is 2.14.9, but the latest version in the Change Log on the Homey Apps site for Device Capabilies is 2.16.0 of June 6, 2025 (and all the 2.15 versions are listed as well).

In the app settings the automatic updates is set to true, but I do not recieve the 2.16 version. What can I do to resolve this issue (and probably get rid of the app crashes on my Homey Pro)?

Any help is very much appreciated.

This is where you’d find the green “Install" button. If there’s no test added to the app store URL, it should install v2.16.0 and replace v2.14.9

It’s funny, v2.16.0 crashes at both my Pro 2019’s, whilst v2.14.9 runs stable.

But you own a 2023 model probably

Is the app showing “experimental”? If I remember well experimental apps do not auto update.

It is not showing “experimental”. I tried to reinstall the app from Homey’s app page, but it did not help, still on 2.14.9.

If you want to install the 2.16.0 version, then you need to install the latest test/experimental version.

Though not labeled as such, 2.16.0 is currently a test version. If you install the latest live version, then you get 2.14.9.

Many thanks to all respondimg. Does anybody know, when the non-experimental version is to be expected?
