[APP][Pro] De'Longhi Pinguino

New community app to control De’Longhi Pinguino portable air conditioners from Homey.

Version 0.1.0 is live for test:

It uses the same De’Longhi Comfort cloud account as the official mobile app. Based on the Home Assistant integration. philm5/delonghi-comfort-integration

Tested so far with:

  • De’Longhi Pinguino PAC EX130 CST

Pairing

  1. Homey app → Devices → Add device → De’Longhi Pinguino
  2. Log in with the same De’Longhi Comfort account used by the official mobile app
  3. Select your Pinguino device from the cloud account

Current test features

  • On/off
  • Target temperature
  • Cool / dry / fan-only mode
  • Fan speed
  • Room temperature and humidity
  • Silent mode
  • Experimental swing control

Notes

  • This is cloud-based. It depends on the De’Longhi/Ayla cloud being available.
  • Swing may need feedback from different models.
  • This is not an official De’Longhi app and I take no responsability in any issue encountered.

Feedback wanted

If you test it, please share:

  • Your exact Pinguino model
  • Whether pairing works
  • Which controls work or fail
  • Whether swing moves the physical flap

Note
This app is partially vibe-coded. If that’s an issue for you (code quality/process/compliance expectations), please don’t use it.

Thank you very much for your effort providing this app. I badly missed it.

As I use the same.e model as you (PAC EX130 CST WIFI), no wonder everything works fine.

Also Stop & Go for the swing works

Haven’t used it yet in any flow, but that shouldn’t be an issue either.

Thanks

Great !

Personnaly I use it on a flow that manage my Roller shutter (based on hours) and use a >50% opened threshold to turn it on/off. My specialty was to forget to turn it off at night with the shutter closed, very efficient…

Ok, now I understand your intention regarding the shutter.

To be honest, I never took care in which position the shutter remains when Pinguino is shut off.

… but a good idea.

Will test it in Flows and let you know

Hi

Just tried to add a “close the shutter” to my flow, but there isn’t an option for it.

Did I misunderstand you?

Edit:

Now I got it. It closes automatically when shutting down Pinguino.

Why is there a pause of 2 or 3 minutes afzer shutdown before I am able to switch Pinguino on again.?

Roller shutter > I mean on my window, not the flap on the Pinguino.

There is a warning in the device manual about not turning it off and on again too fast, as it has to complete a few clean up & check processes, as well as not damaging the compressor (technical rule for such compressors is usually a 3 to 5 minutes delay betwen cycles). As a security, and not to be accused of doing any thing wrong, I enforced it to 3 minutes. You can still turn it on manually, but that’s not my problem anymore

Thanks for explanation.
