So I’m brand new to Homey and have had success adding many of my existing home devices but for some reason the TP-Link Kasa app is just not having it. I log in with my Kasa account, I get a message from Homey saying I’m logged in and can close the window, and then I’m told that no new devices have been found. Over and over again. Has anyone run into this?
Do you use a separate network for your smart devices?
Were you able to solve your problem? I’m also getting no new devices have been found when trying to add TP-Link Kasa EP25 devices (HW Version 2.6, Firmware 1.0.2 Build 231108 Rel. 163012). All my smart devices are on the same network. Has anyone else run into this issue and was able to resolve it?
Did either of you have any luck with this? I’m having the exact same issue. Turned on 3rd party support in the Kasa app, and was able to connect the plugs to home kit just fine.
I just got my homey and have everything else set up, but the TP-Link Smart plugs are being a problem. Everything is set up on the same network and I’m on the latest version of the TP-Link Kasa app. However, when I try and add the device, it logs me in and then says it can’t find any new devices even though they’ve been added to the Kasa app and to my home kit just fine. I have Third-Party Compatibility turned on in the settings of the Kasa app as well.
Any advice here would be appreciated!
Having The Same Issue, tried to restart, uninstall, reinstall homey app, checked all settings and yes I have Third Party Selected, Homey needs to step up and fix this
I am having the same exact problem. Did everything that is suggested and took all the right steps. It just does not want the add the devices. I keep seeing “No Devices Found” after logging into the Kasa account and clicking “Authorize”. There is nothing else I can do. The TP Link Kasa app seems to be a disaster on Homey. I hope it gets fixed soon.
Update: Just wanted to add a strange behavior I’ve seen twice now. After many attempts, it sometimes says “New Devices Found…Please select devices to add…” but actually there are no devices shown on the list. Instead it says “Rate Limited”. So end result is still not able to add any Kasa devices to Homey.
