SETUP

  1. Enable the Native API in your Konnected configuration
  2. Add the device by selecting the appropriate driver
  3. Enter the device’s IP address, port (default: 6053), and credentials

All devices automatically detect and report WiFi signal strength when available.

KONNECTED ALARM PANEL: ENCRYPTION & PIN CODES
The Konnected Alarm Panel driver fully supports Encryption Keys and Alarm PIN Codes natively configured on your Konnected devices!
• Encryption Key: Enter the key in the device’s Advanced Settings to securely authenticate and maintain the connection.
• Alarm PIN Codes: Put your default PIN code in Advanced Settings to Arm or Disarm (Away, Home, Night, etc.). The app will automatically use this.

Note: When you change the Encryption Key or other connection settings, the app will automatically restart the connection in the background to apply the new settings immediately.

I just loaded this app and have both my Alarm Panel Pro 12 Zone board and my 6 Zone Alarm Panel working great, Picked up all the Zones, Sirens and Alarms.

If you are like me, my panels were on the Legacy Konnected firmware. This app requires your Konnected Panels to be on their ESPhome firmware. Konnected switched to ESPhome in early 2023. So if you haven’t updated firmware recently likely you are in the same boat as I was.

Before you start, make sure to write down the IP address of the Panel. You will no longer be using the Konnected app from Konnected.

You can make the switch by using the Konnected install tool - NOT the app, (https://install.konnected.io). Requires the Chrome browser. Plus you need to connect to the micro USB port on the Panel, not over Wifi or ethernet. You need a data cable from your Mac or PC. A power only cable will fail. For the Mac, when you follow the install, you should see a popup showing a serial cable connection. If that doesn’t show try flipping the usb-c cable connected into your Mac upside down, really this can make a differenece depending on the cable you use. Another thing, if you have the power connected to the panel that can also cause an issue, pull it and let the USB power the Panel. After you update the firmware and disconnect the USB, just plug power back in.

You will be asked which ethernet version your panel is. Basically unless it is fairly recent you’ll likely select the second option.

Then let it update. Once done it brings up another dialog box saying done, clicking next brings up another, I ignored it. Firmware was updated. Then pull the usb off the panel and plug the power back in if you had removed it.

Then go to the Homey Pro and add the panels with this app. For me I only needed to enter a name and the IP address. The default port worked fine and I didn’t need any passwords.

The app will find all the zones and sirens and alarms.

And yes, you will need to rename them.
