Elevate your Android TV experience with TVOverlay – the ultimate app that turns your TV into an information hub like never before. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a tech enthusiast, TVOverlay enhances your TV content by overlaying essential information and giving you complete control over its appearance.
TvOverlay App is build by Tab Developer. I have only build a Homey integration.
Nice initiative! I paired the TV Overlay Remote phone app with the TV Overlay app on Android TV box, and they’re connected.
To my surprise, it can also use MQTT messages.
However, when I want to add the TV Overlay device on Homey, I get this error message:
A thought:
The image cards have 2 non-optional icon fields, with, as I call them, H.A. icon types.
Is it possible to have those as optional fields?
Or have a pre-entered default icon?
No when I remove the parameter for appTitle then only RestAPI stays, I think Homey * RestAPI is nicer then only RestAPI. I will ask the developer of the app if it is possible.
There are multiple Than cards with the same name, but with different parameters. Could these cards get distinctive names?
Now it is possible to make the layer between the tv screen and the overlay more or less transparant. This remains after the overlay is gone. Would it be possible to setup the transparancy only for the overlay part when it is visible?
Setting up the message box to minimalistic removes the header “Homey RestAPI”, but images are not possible in that case. Could minimalistic also be setup for image and video?
The seconds part of the card shows as a helper text “In degree celcius”
Can we optimize the Video URL (RTSP) part, it’s not working for most of the cases (local ip), seems timeout sensitive?
Can we create a setting that you can show 1,2 or 3 messages at once?
