Is there any way to have Homey write to a text file?
Several ways, you can use “HTTP request flow cards” or “Advanced Rest Client” to work with Dropbox API for users (HTTP - Developers - Dropbox) or simply use IFTTT.

Had a quick look at the API, and it looks promising. I would prefer not to use “one of me three” IFTTT applets for this, if it can be handled any other way.
You wouldn’t happen to have an example of doing something like this?
