Why do you list SMA for ESS Energy storage system?

SMA Home Storage Batterie are NOT compatible to homey flow or other intelligence.

SMA is NOT supporting the charging of the battery from grid!!! That is the most important use case to charge the battery from grid:

  1. when energy prices are low

  2. Or to stop the battery from discharging, when charging a car

SMA is blocking any steering option to the battery from third device. WHY are you listing them???

List instead the best system: SigEnergy!

I assume you are referring to the “Best Buy Guide”, correct?

That seems to be your personal opinion. For example, I don’t use dynamic pricing, so I don’t care about this feature (at the moment).
Furthermore, charging the battery from the grid is not included in the selection criteria in the “Best Buy Guide” at all.

That also seems to be your personal opinion. I have never heard of this brand, for example.
Do you work for this company? Do you earn money when you recommend this company?

I also don’t understand why you wrote your post in such an aggressive way in some parts, e.g. using capital letters and repeating punctuation marks. THAT’S ALMOST THE SAME WRITING STYLE AS THE CURRENT US PRESIDENT USES!!!

By the way, this is 99% a user forum. So no user has any influence on the “Best Buy Guide.” If you want to complain, you should contact Athom directly.

Looks like spam to me, because:

@Nils-Ole_Connor you tried this great SMA app and it didn’t work out for you? It supports batteries amongst other devices;

SMA isn’t blocking anything because it uses the LOCAL Modbus protocol.

Instead of shouting, we often can discuss with the developer about issues or feature requests.
