Webwidget (webkader) loads url locally?

Am I correct in assuming the Webwidget (webkader) loads url locally ?

I have some widgets that point towards the Homey HTTP/FTP server and the page is not visible when i’m out of the house…

Yes, the widgets are loaded in a WebView, which means they’re loaded from your phone. If you have an HTML page, you can create a Homey app and use the widget api.js file to communicate events and make them accessible outside of your network

What HTML files have you added to the dashboard? Is it only a static HTML or does it use JS to fetch more data from a server in your LAN?

Just a clock. nothing fancy :

I can miss that when not at home, it’s for a dashboard in the livingroom…

But I also have a widget on another dashboard pointing to my IP webcam… And that’s a local IP…

I’m actually building a Web Proxy app which allows you to use Homey as a web proxy. This will be a web frame widget which will proxy all web requests from the page through Homey (locally when in your own network, and using the Athom cloud when you’re outside of your network. But it will take some time to create.

I found IP webcam that can use the front or back camera of a Tablet as ONVIF camera.

The software I use now runs on a laptop and is basicly just IP. Haven’t found other software for it. Still experimenting with what I can do with it. ONVIF would be better I think. the IP camera on the laptop doesn’t do much for Homey, it’s just a separat can that I can ‘see’ on the dashboard.

Well, untill i found I can’t see it from outside my home, which makes it pretty useless… Might as wel buy a ‘real’ ONVIF wabcam for that..
