Hi everyone,
I’m new to Homey and I’m trying to control all lights in my house together, but I have a mixed setup:
Philips Hue lights (Zigbee; some may be via Hue Bridge, not 100% sure yet)
Philips WiZ lights (Wi‑Fi)
What I want to do
One Flow/button to turn all lights ON (whole house).
One Flow/button to turn all lights OFF.
One Flow/button (or one “group” device) to dim all lights together (e.g. set brightness to 30% / 50% / 100%), ideally with a smooth transition—without adding a separate action for every single bulb.
What I’m stuck on
I can turn zones on/off, but I can’t find a clean way to dim everything at once.
In Flows I don’t always see a “Dim / set brightness” card for the zone/group (only for some individual lights).
Questions
What’s the recommended approach in Homey for “All Lights” across different brands (Hue + WiZ): Zones, a Homey Group device, Advanced Flow, or a specific app?
Hi @Giovanni4312 ,
Welcome to the community.
My first advice is, when you are new, start with other simplier projects, not with a hard one.
Well probably you started with other flows that looked quite simple.
Switching many lights at the same time my be difficult, as some people reported that in case there are too many actions included some of them are just not activated.
I have not worked with moods yet, but it seems to be worth a try. Just look for Moods here in the forum and in the tutorials. As I understand, you dim everything to the level you want and then save it as a mood. After that you can activate the saved mood and everything is fine. You just have to generate the moods you need (OFF, FULL-LIGHT, STANDARD-DIM, and probably ROMANTIC-DIM) and later select the mood you need.
Have fun!
