Title: Incorrect energy summary in Homey Pro – Pulse and inverters show wrong values

Hi everyone,

I’m using Homey Pro 2023 with a Tibber Pulse connected to the HAN port, measuring both imported and exported energy (grid power). In addition, I have 9 solar inverters integrated into Homey that report solar production (in watts).

This setup used to work well, but after one or more recent Homey updates, the energy summary seems broken or changed. The values now appear incorrectly in both the old and new Energy views.

Example:

  • Pulse shows –800 W (exported to grid)
  • Inverters show +1000 W (solar production)
  • Actual consumption should be 200 W
→ But Homey just shows everything as “consumption”, and exported power shows as negative consumption, which makes no sense.

Pulse reports values correctly on its own. So do the inverters. The problem lies in how Homey combines these values in the Energy overview.

I’ve tried solving it by creating virtual devices and flows that calculate actual consumption = Production – Export, and display that in a separate tile. It works, but this shouldn’t be necessary.

My questions:

  • Is anyone else seeing this after recent updates?
  • Any known workaround without using custom flows?
  • Is Athom/Homey working on improving the energy model to explicitly support production, export, and consumption separately?

This is especially important for users with solar panels who rely on Homey to provide an accurate energy overview.

Appreciate any input or suggestions!
