Sync Homey pro mini to apple Home kit

I have Homekitty installed on both my Homey Pro Mini and Apple HomeKit. I would like to sync both of them together, so I have the same information on both. How do I keep them sync together?

I know this question probably has already been asked but I could not find it. I am new so can you make the answer easy to understand? Thanks

What do you mean by ‘sync together’? It sounds like you have got the Homey devices showing up in HomeKit? So when you control those devices either through Homey or Apple, their states should stay in sync already. So I guess you mean what if you make changes to the device settings e.g. renaming them?

The short answer to that is changes made either side such as name changes or moving a device to a different room won’t sync in either direction. You’ll need to manually sync those kind of changes. If you delete a device from Homey, it will disappear from HomeKit. The reverse is not true: if you delete a device from HomeKit, that won’t have any effect on the Homey device (Homey is the ‘master’ here).

Or if you’re stuck at getting the devices published, you need to go into the App Settings for HomeKitty and publish all or some of your devices to HomeKit. Once you’ve published them, they should stay published and in sync until you unpublished (or delete) them from Homey.

I do not understand. I have HomeKit (HomeKittty) on both apps, but they contain different devices. I want to make them both the same. How do I do that? Sync both to make them Identical? Not sure if I am explaining this correctly? I want the information I add to Homey Pro Mini to reflect the same information in Apple Home. Someone needs to write an article on all this for dummies. I would be the first to get it

Homey devices get synced to Homekit with the Homekitty app (one way), only the capabilities supported by Homekit will be available.
I don’t know about a Homekit to Homey sync possibility → it might be possible to share those as Matter devices and add them to Homey.

I am so confused. How do I make Homey Pro Mini work with and have the same information as my Apple Home Kit? Making two apps work as one.

I would like the Apple home kit to be the one I use the most for running the home daily. And Homey pro mini the one that I can setup the flows on ,connect new devices just like build most everything .and also my some devices work with apple home kit that are not native to it.

Hopefully this makes some kind of sense to someone.and if you can help make The instruction as simple as possible

I have three systems Google Home App, Apple Home, and Homey Mini pro. That all do different things. with diferent items Example Google does a great job with the google nest Thermostat and sensors but apple does not work as good with them and are always disconnecting. How can I make this easier . another system is my Ring items Doorbell and cameras they work good in homey but they do not work with Apple or google.

I do have the home kitty app

I’d recommend to rethink your approach. Expecting Google, Apple and Homey to “work together as one” is unrealistic. They’re different systems from different manufacturers. Yes you can create connections between them but then you have to manage those connections yourself. That’s not going to be a simple path.

I’d recommend picking one system as your master system and do as much as you possibly can there. Sounds like that’s Homey for you which I think is likely a wise choice. Get as many systems as you can integrated directly with Homey via their respective Homey apps (not via Apple or Google). That should cover at least the Nest and Ring devices.

Then come back to the forum and ask for help if there’s anything you can’t work out how to integrate directly with Homey.

Ideally for a simple and relatively low maintenance system you want to end up with all your devices and automations (flows) natively in Homey and then if you want voice control, you publish those devices from Homey to either Apple (using HomeKitty) or Google using the built in integration.

Thanks for the help

Thank You for the suggestion. I am looking to set up Homey and Apple Home. The only Google items I have on the system are a Google Nest thermostat gen 4 and some of the Google sensors that came with the nest thermostat. If there are better sensors with more options let me know and I will drop the one google sensor I have. Everything needs to work with my core system. I would like to set up My nest cameras and the ring door Bell, my solar system teh system is Enphase and Electric company Dominion of SC To track how much I generate and how much I use from the electric company I have a Linksys Velop Model number MX4200 With three units Trying to keep this simple as possible. Every thing else I would Be purchasing new this will be my first Smart Home and I do not have any other devices. I have Home Kitty installed on both Apple Home and Homey not sure they are working, don’t even know how to check. I do have a home pod and it is working just not sure it is setup as a hub and do not know how to test or use it. Where do I start? This is the first time doing something like this so we will need the directions or videos as easy as possible to understand.Hope this shows up on the main page/
