Homey is a great european product.
But there are many other smart products that are also european (you might not even be aware)
Just ran into this site and found out many devices connected to homey are also european.
(While I thought they were chinese or american)

We still operate independently from LG. While they are a major stakeholder in Athom B.V., the company continues to be run from our headquarters in Enschede, the Netherlands. You can hear more about this in our latest podcast

What is the issue? Most “European” smart products are made in Asia and just relabelled or packed in a European box.
If they add at least something to ensure safety standards, keep data in a pure EU-based and owned data server, etc. that could be an added value.
I don’t want to make any assumptions about anyone. I just hope that nobody here wants a MAGA copy for Europe.
Best regards Dirk
