Remember timeline timestamp preference
Hello Homey Team,
I would like to request a small but very useful usability improvement.
Currently, timeline events are displayed using relative timestamps such as “4 hours ago”.
By clicking on the event icon on the left, Homey temporarily switches that event to the exact date and time, which is extremely useful.
However, this preference is lost every time the device page is closed or reopened.
Since the functionality already exists, it would be great if Homey could simply remember the user’s preferred display format.
For example:
Timeline timestamp
- Relative (4 hours ago)
- Absolute (04 Jul 2026 14:26:50)
- Relative + Absolute
or simply:
Remember the last selected format.
This would greatly improve troubleshooting, presence monitoring, security events and automation debugging, where exact timestamps are much more useful than relative times.
