Power by the hour app becomes redundant?

Since introducing the dynamic electricity pricing of homey Energy (Introducing Dynamic Electricity Prices | Homey News)

has the “Power by the Hour” - app become redundant?

Or am I missing certain functions that are present in the latter and not in the former?

I am just a basic user of Power By The Hour app, but even then it offers way more practical functionality than the current Energy tab.

I use the app to track power and water usage. It allows me to set an off-peak and peak tariff via a flow. It tracks minimum and maximum usage per day. It tracks how far your current usage behaves according to your planned usage. Tracked values are available as tags in flows. None of this is currently possible via the Energy tab functionality, as far as I know. Though the Energy tab looks pretty :grinning:.

I am sure Athom will further develop and extend the Energy tab. However currently the Power by the Hour app is better equipped in my opinion.

Agreed! Power by the Hour is the big example for Energy tab and not really comparable yet.

depends on which homey you have, like many mine is too old and the newer features such as dynamic pricing etc don’t work so PBTH is not redundant
