Hi everyone,
Is there a way to connect homey with an LG xboom bluetooth speakers? I was hoping it would work with the new LG ThinQ app, but apparently speakers are not supported… I suppose it would be a good addition as Homey could stream audio from the Spotify app for example…

In short, no, you can’t connect the xboom directly.
But even if you could connect the xboom, Homey doesn’t offer any streaming capabilities, so it would probably only be volume and play state related.
The Spotify app is purely to control Spotify Connected devices, the streaming itself is still done by the speaker/receiver, and looks like the Xboom isn’t a Spotify Connect speaker, so the current Spotify app won’t even work.
It does support Chromecast, so that would be your only option, that is already available as an app.
Thanks; clear; indeed I misunderstood the Spotify functionality. Maybe a future functionality for Homey to stream music then? You could stream it to your (bluetooth) speakers in the room you are in directly…
