Regarding closed garagedoors, due to a bug the doors were open in the past when they shouldn’t have. Apps need to add a few properties to their drivers in order to mark the devices as EV chargers which will in turn open the door again.
don’t think it is that , just open those doors hahaha. my wallbox was open and ok with meter and measure power and now doing this evCharger extra property on energy besides class is weird
why? you know what it is and looks like you become more catholic than the pope and give app develoipers a hard time.
just handle this yourself and don’t throw it over the fence.
What about the freezing problem?!!
I really getting annoyed on this. Can’t get in reach with support…
Strange bug: When viewing todays energy, and then selecting yesterday, it still displays todays data and the graph disappear.
If I then select any random date earlier than yesterday, then back to yesterday, the data and graph is correct.
9.2 import - 13.4 export = netto 4.2 kWh exported
If I import 9kwh at night and export 13kwh at day (and not use anything at day) the export is still 13kwh and the import is still 9kwh . I think this number is wrong?
What did you expect to see?
This is what is on your electricity bill I guess… your netto consumption.
Just a short explaination:
That’s not correct for all countries.
For Germany, energy usage and export are priced different. Usage is priced by the energy provider (eOn, Tibber etc.), export has a fixed price (for new systems) and is payed by the grid owner (regional grid provider).
That’s why a different price definition for import/export for HomeyEnergy was requested several times.
You referred the kWh not the $€£¥
I referred to “it’s on your bill”.
The kWh sum is not on the bill. The usage is on energy provider bill (for Germany).
Actually, If I import 100kwh and export 100kwh then on my bill it will say exactly the same, it wont be zero. I expect nothing there, that number does not say anything.
Maybe for you because you’re not interested in it, but it does for me.
My advise is to just ignore it and live your life.
Tell me how it helps, perhaps you know something I don’t think about.
No, this has nothing to do with price or cost. It’s pure kwh.
Easy, this shows me I’ve imported 2.8 kWh from the net and I’ve exported 26.5 kWh so my nett import is -23.7 kWh.
The nett import minus my production shows me our overall usage is 9.1 kWh today.
I just wished the calculations were right and no intermediate rounding was done so the -23.7 kWh from the graph was the same as the -23.6 kWh in the image. Reported this with several examples when the Energy Dashboard was in Beta, but it still isn’t fixed
Is 9.1kwh everything you pay for this day?
Here in sweden I pay for the 23.6kwh plus tax plusplusplus alot. and I only get the kwh price for the 32.8kwh so that is why the total is not at all total for me. Maby it should be called something else and its all good?
No I get payed by the energy company
(Numbers differ a bit due to different times the screenshots were taken, also the mentioned prices are averaged as these differ per time of day.)
Well it is the total nett power usage of your household, no matter how the energy company deals with it price wise.
You could do a suggestion, now Athom calls it Total for the Imported - Exported.
afaik the imported and Exported are the sum of the reported values for the two tariff counters.
For me the Total is actually a logical name. And I am happy with one value with all negative values being more delivered to the net than consumed/imported.
HOMEY ENERGY.
I’m personally still very disapointed into this ( beta ) capability due to the fixed way it uses energy information from elements into my Homey where I can not influence things.
Especially when things go totally wrong.
I have for example a SMAPPEE Infinity that is connected into my home. this one measures my total energy consumption from my house ( CT-coil ) , it also measures my total SOLAR energy production.
This last one is very important. My TOTAL Solar energy production measured ( via CT-coil ) is my only correct and valid TOTAL SUM from my 3 smaller invertors. I have two SMA invertors that communicate with Homey but one older doesn’t.
My SMAPPEE Infinity shows me 4 values into Homey when I look into details. One is the POWER , a second is the PRODUCTION.
Well : into the ICON for my Smappee there I can ‘select’ what to see as data with that icon. Here I’ve selected the only usable value and that is PRODUCTION.
Result is that my Homey shows me correctly my total SOLAR production into that icon. Together with my two others from SMA, I have a nice overview.
However into the Homey ENERGY capability, there this ENERGY facility shows me for my Smappee Solar result, the power and not the production. This results into a total faulty representation from the solar energy production made on my house, into this Homey ENERGY capability.
Up to now, I see no way for me to adjust/correct this, to modify it so that the PRODUCTION is taken as a value and NOT Power. Both other Solar production inputs from SMA I can turn OFF into Homey ENERGY. If I would be able to see/show my SMAPPEE Production I would at least see my real solar production, now only a part. Result is naturally that all shows … wrong.
I’ve been going through the previous info into this topic but I haven’t found anything that could help me, or, … haven’t seen it.
So my current conclusion is that I do not have any use to this ENERGY capability.
I must state that I like the DASHBOARD.
Thanks for anybody who could show me a path…
