Hi.
It would be great with support for water-heaters (heaters in general) in the thermostat-widget. (Or a separate widget, but this seems unnecessary)
I have a smart heater from Høiax that is supported by Homey. But even though it has all the capabilities to be controlled as a thermostat (target_temperature, measure_temperature) it has the device class: heater, and is therefore not supported by the widget.
@Torbjorn_Melbye that is a great suggestions, you are correct that we should add support for the heater
as well. We have a feature freeze at the moment, but will add the heater
class soon Also we will make it available in climate controls.
Thank you for contributing!
@Luca_Lorenzi thank you for the suggestions!
- That’s doesn’t look good at all, we will provide a fix for that
- Could you provider a screenshot of the develop tools of this product so that we see quickly what capabilities are used?
Thank you for contributing!
@Arjank95 , @Peter_de_Vos , @Peter_Kawa ,
Thank you for reporting this crashes. If I am correct you use the new Energy Usage widget? We are investigating the crashes on Android for this Widget as we speak
Yes i do
Here it is Harwin
The widget takes the measure_power, it would be great to choose between that and the measure_power.total
Thank you!
Correct, both the new Energy & Zones widgets were in use.
@Arjank95 , @Peter_de_Vos , @Peter_Kawa ,
The crashes should be fixed in the next release
Which iPad model is this? Which iPad can display widgets in 3 columns? Or which Android tablet knows this?
This morning the app updated to 9.0.0.1623 and I found out I can no longer open a graph by clicking somewhere on the graph, I have to specifically click on the title, a bit annoying and I fail to see why this was changed.
I did also notice I can now click on the graph in the correct spot to get the details of that time, so no longer the offset to the left, very happy with that, thanks for fixing!
Hi Harwin,
The things that would be great:
-
Music widget / speaker widget select group of speakers. Now i only have one pair of sonos speakers what i can control. En the rest of the living room speakers not. In sonos itself this is a group but can not be selected in the widget. What also would be great is that when you click the widget it opens sonos or Spotify to search for music etc.
-
Its very nice to see all the devices on screen. But is it possible that when you click them its an action instead of holding them en dan have to click again and go back. For example the gate.
-
And the last one. Refreshing the camera’s or live view. I see this reqeust more in this topic.
Thank you very much. I love this functionality. Keep up the good work.
Hi Guys,
About the energy usage. Now it shows the last minute. Would be nice if you can select more options, like already possible when you click the widget (i would like “per day” also:
I have 2 converters for solarpowers. Would be nice if you can combine devices, so you can create groups.
Beter goed gejat dan slecht bedacht. Using homewizard for a long time, for fully integration of displaying my energy usage, i really looking forward to see a overall graph:
Maybe a stupid question but what kind of tablet do i need for a Homey Dashboard?
I have a old Ipad only i cant Download de Homey App on it. Is there another way to get my dashboard on this device or do i need to buy a newer Tablet? What is nessacary to get te full Homey Dashboard experience? Thanks for helping me!
No, not to my knowledge. Maybe you can flash a newer OS, that’s what once I did with a 2011 Android tablet.
Con: it’s slow, so best suitable as “info dashboard”
This tablet seems suitable, albeit (very) expensive in my eyes, but that’s very personal of course:
I just bought a new Samsung Tab A9+ (€150
11" 1920x1200 Android14) Very nice tablet!
This is already possible when you use the Insights widget instead of the Energy widget, Bastiaan.
It only lacks the value dependent colors
You can create groups of devices already with advanced virtual devices (example here) and/or the < group > app
Thanks for your help Peter. Last question about your tablet, which wall mount do you use? This wall mount also charge the tablet wireless?
No problem, Mark
Oh, nothing special here, just a bookshelf stand with a 90° USB-C connector (@ short side)
I don’t think it supports wireless charging. It’s not mentioned anywhere, and it doesn’t respond when putting it on a wireless charger
Here’s two nice 3D wall mount printables for the A9+:

Just as a response to this…
I found this product on AliExpress:

Looks great for dashboard usage.
Unfortunately, my Tablets USB port is not centered om the bottom, so I can’t use it myself. But this will fit most tablets.
I am not affiliated to this company but they 3D print wall mounts for a range of Android tablets:

I’ve noticed that community widgets take a longer time to load than native homey widgets.
Whenever I open a dashboard, the native widgets are loaded almost instantly, while the community widgets take several seconds.
