Yesterday I installed a Hisense UltraSlim “J shaped” Window AC unit and was surprised to find that it supports Matter. Was able to easily add it to Homey Pro, but I found that it only shows the Cool mode (and Off). It’s missing the Eco, Dry, and Fan only modes.
I’m a novice here and this is my first Matter device. Is this something that is exposed by the device’s matter implementation, or a limitation of Homey’s support for air conditioners via Matter? Is there an easy way to add the additional modes?
Mainly what I would like to automate is a flow that would work like this:
Nest thermostat humidity reaches 60% → turn on Nest fan, enable Dry mode on window unit
This way the window unit in my bonus room can help reduce indoor humidity without running the whole home AC (there’s an air return in the bonus room). I can get basically the same effect by dropping the set temp on the window unit to something far below the current temperature, but I’m just trying to keep it tidy.
